Backup recommendations for 2015

Happy New Year fellow vapors. Im sure im not the only one trying to go cancer stick free this year. With my experiencing with vaping, I have resorted to cancer sticks during desperate measures. Usually when my battery drained or if I forget my juice at home:(. I've learned to keep an extra bottle of juice in the car, and carry around another set of batteries.

Are their any other helpful tips, to be smoke free this year? I'd really like to hear your input...

Vaping 101 - always have plenty of backups for everything you need.

To tell the truth, I would have done the same thing if I had not had backups. It is what it is. Nothing wrong with doing both if that is what you want to do. Won't find me judging. I just prefer vaping and I hope I never forget how bad that last cigarette I had tasted. Good luck to you and have fun here.

When I became serious about quitting I always kept a back up battery, tank and juice.

I also stopped into tobacco shops and found cig-a-likes on sale or clearance and grabbed a bunch. Kept one in the glove box, one in my lunch box, one in the center console.

When I was working on an ambulance I literally taped one to my stethoscope. ( I had it hanging around my neck ).

Give yourself an opportunity to need a cigarette and you will smoke one...

Fail to plan is planning to fail...

I switch flavors, so taking two complete setups with me when I leave the house is a must.

However I take a completely different approach to a "backup". To me a backup is a device that will still work even if hell freezes over. If I can't use it for a hammer and still vape it, it isn't a reliable backup. When I started vaping, the one PV that fit in that category was the Silver Bullet. So 4 years later, that old well used SB sits back there on the book case, just in case hell freezes over.

I keep a spare Nautilus and Kanger coil in my backpack for when I'm away from the house. I make sure my out-and-about tank is full and the battery is charged. Sometimes I keep a spare tank in there as well but the often comes out and enters the rotation at home. I did just order a Nautilus Mini base so I can have an additional Nautilus Mini for just that purpose (I have one of those aftermarket tanks from eBay to pair it with). I'm keeping an eye on those eGrip prices as well. Something like that would make an outstanding secondary vape.

A USB charged mod will go a long way towards keeping you vaping when batteries would have run out on a mod with replaceable batts. For three years I carried a battery box with a spare charged battery and a filled carto in case I got diverted away from home and couldn't get back to my stash.

I use the Provari around the house a lot, but when I go out it's the Eleaf iStick that's in my pocket. A small bottle of juice and a USB cable is all I need to keep going for extended periods. The nice part is that when the iStick shuts down on low battery, you can plug it in for a few minutes and continue to vape while it's charging. We all have USB devices these days and the USB cigar lighter adapters are cheap if you don't already have USB in your vehicle.

Myself, and most others, have learned that a spare system is very good to have. I keep mine in the car because I am pretty much always near it.

As to juice, I buy about 3 weeks a head of time. If I am going to get in to a fight with cancer sticks, I am going to be prepared.

My signature quote says it all.

Lets see you live in California.... Where you can get a new vape and juice at almost any gas station, cigarette store or convinience store, not to mention Vape shops and Head shops... Starting around $20, EGO bat CE4 bottle or horrible tasting nic juice. That means you are 5 minutes from vaping almost anywhere in the state. That said the EGO/CE4 set in the glove box maybe with a bottle of Juice cant hurt. Then again stopping at 1 of those same store and buying and smoking a 50 cent single ash stick.... Would remind me too make sure I am covered for Vape supplies.
