I just got my first shipment from Don today. You telling me I should wait a week before vaping these?? After all the reviews I read?

no you dont need to wait. Applewood is my very favorite juice right now. It is excellent when you first get it and gets better as time goes by.

so vape away!

I saw the raves about this juice so I decided to give it a try. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Its not a bad flavor at all , just not what I expected. I really dont get any tobacco taste out of it at all, more of a kind of metholally kind of flavor. I did get it in 36mg so maybe that affects the flavor. The dekang flue cured has a much more robust tobacco flavor to it IMO. It kind of reminds me of a weak amaretto stone sour from TV (without the sour). I was looking for a more earthy kind of vape.
Which is a good thing I also tried another of his flavors, the caramel cappuccino. Now that one hits the spot for me. Definitely recommend that one if you are fond of coffee flavors at all.

I prefer juice I can vape all day with. So I was really glad to run across a negative review of backwoods, every one was praising it, obviously because they loved it, but I like to read the positive and the negative. Take for example the first time I tried Red Bull. I loved it! I was thinking about buying a gallon of it next and writing a rave review on it. But then only 3-4 hours in to the day of vaping it, I got sick of it lol.

I want tobacco flavor I can vape all day with. Thanks for your honest review. Backwoods just dropped down a number of slots on my list to try.

just not what I expected.

As a tremendous fan of the BWB juice... I do hear what you are saying - I said it months ago and I'll say it again... people who don't take to the juice are typically people who are disposed to liking more intense flavoring - When Don created BWB, one of his underlying principles was not to over-flavor juice... that is what led him to buy his first DIY kit and start making his own juice.
It's a preference.
...because one of the subjective qualities to "tasting" is the intensity at which a person experiences flavor.

My GF salts chinese food and pizza ;-)

If you vape some BWB and don't "get it." it doesn't mean that you have an immature palate... or that your ability to taste sucks or that you are doing something wrong, it only means that you prefer more intense flavoring.

With that said, it wasn't long after I made this post months ago that Jules suggested I try Don's espresso - and that was flavor intense...

Whenever you read positive reviews about any juice company, pay attention to the common theme of why people like it... A lot of BWB faithful share the similar reasoning for why they like the juice. Many report things like... I finally found something I could vape all day - they appreciate the more subtle flavorings and the emphasis on vapability...

Lastly, by no means am I implying that flavor is weak. Don's flavoring is spot on for me. It's rich, delicious and there is plenty of flavor.
But if I was the kind of person who could vape atomic cinnacide for hours... or had an arsenal of juices from vaporbomb, tasty vapor, ms. t's, dekang, etc... I might not be the kind of person who would fall in love with it.

When I smoked, I never thought about flavor... Unless the flavor was weird or off, I never paid attention.
I was drawn towards the throat hit, exhale and the rush of the nico hit.

Vaping has made "smoking" better for me... it tastes so much better.

But I don't really want to vape a liquid that "tastes" like a camel light - I'd rather vape something that feels like a camel light.

Juice that is over-flavored and seriously intense makes me nauseous - BWB is something I can vape all day.

+1 once more :)
BTW....I just tried the 555 and have to say, just when you think BwB can't get any better, IT CAN! This stuff is amazing, can't put it down. There something reminiscent about it that I can't put my finger on, very nostalgic. Possibly memories from when I was young and smelled my grandpas pipe tobacco, I always loved that smell. It's definitely not overpowering, just super delicious.
I've found yet another BwB favorite and my tastebuds are HAPPY!

Its just that much better if you wait I think. But I just got the Tobacco Menthol and have been in vapor heaven on day one of its arrival. I also got another apple wood and I'm letting it age while I vape the menthol. Its just my personal preference because I find apple wood to be alot better after a week and in two weeks even better.
