I'm pretty new to vaping (2 months now), ive ordered from Good Prophets, Mad Vapes, Rocky Mountain Vapor, Johnson Creek, Dekang, (Health Cabin) ZigCigs, Awesome Vapor, as well as some local stuff (prob dekang again).
My most recent foray was with Backwoods Brew, I had only read great things about them.
I promptly ordered Honey Flue Cured, Applewood Tobacco, Green Apple and Hunters Blend.
My initial response was well.. i guess it was --hmmmmm--, it was strong and i did order 24mg. The tobacco tincture is very unique compared to all the others ive tried, and to be quite honest, at first i didnt like it. So, what to do now? as you could imagine i was a little deflated with the hope of a new vape with such glowing reviews, only to find out its just more of the same. WELL...I WAS WRONG, -- After letting this juice sit for about a week, i went back to it, and VOILA, it is FANTASTIC!!! I dont know why it needs this "sit time" before the flavors jump out at you, but they certainly do! -- I had read this in the forum somwhere, that because the nic tincture and flavors are as fresh as can be obtained that it needs a few days "steep time", well, that is absolutely true in my experience. BWB has become my all around go to vape and it seems only to get better and better, I give it a 5 out of 5 for flavor and a 6 out of 5 for --UNIQUENESS !!! right on BWB!

I just got my first order from BWB yesterday and wanted to ask the question about steeping, but figured I'd just wait it out and see if steeping was good with BWB juices too. I'm glad to hear that my instincts were right.

I'm going to keep them cool and in the dark for a week or two and try them again. I hate waiting!!!

Deanna, Thats what worked for me, Initially they were really strong, which isnt necessarily a bad thing, just not what i had expected. It seems now (after 10 days) everytime i vape a cart full, it just keeps getting better and better, its a whole diffrent vapor from the standard dekang stuff, and many vendors use dekang nic and add their own flavors Lorann, etc, its like BWB is a totally NEW product IMHO, I love the Applewood and Hunters blend.

Well, I've tried around 15 (give or take a few) of BWB juices and have absolutely loved most of them. The one's I didn't take to were the fruitier juices such as blueberry and green apple. Even after letting them steep for a week or more, I still didn't care for them. I chalk this up to the fact I just don't like fruity juices. Now, his tobaccos and coffees are another story. These are my go-to vapes (vaping his fantastic Cafe Mocha as I post). And they tasted the same to me right upon opening, and even after sitting for a length of time.

The only BWB juice that I found to require steeping is the Backwoods Blast. When I first got it, and vaped a bit, I thought.....whoa, this has one helluva chemical taste. For me, it was unvapeable. I put it away, not to steep, but just because it tasted terrible (to me). A few weeks went by and I figured I'd give it another shot.........man, was I shocked. It now tasted like the description. Not really hot, like Atomic cinnacide, but a sweeter, cinnamony flavor. Like the taste of a fireball after the heat has just about worn off. I was amazed at the transformation.

So, at least with regards to that particular juice, I became a believer in the theory of "Hey, if you don't like it at first, put it away awhile and see what happens. Chances are, it probably won't get worse and there's a chance it'll get better."

In any case, enjoy those BWBs.................they are indeed fantastic creations by the master brewer himself, Don K. :D

Right now I've got Malty Toffee and Espresso put up. I actually found the Malty Toffee to be almost flavorless...I tried dripping it with my eGo and in a cart on my M601 and got the faintest hint of a toffee flavor, but not much. So, I figured I'd let it steep a bit and see what happens.

The espresso doesn't seem to be overly strong either. However, it has an incredibly nice flavor to it. It reminds me of chocolate covered espresso beans, without the chocolate. I LOVE those things, so I'm really going to enjoy that juice!

I actually don't really carefor tobacco flavors, and I know that BWB is famous for theirs, but everyone has been so overwhelmingly positive about ALL of their juices that I just had to try them.

While I hate waiting, it's worth it in the long run when you get something you truly like and look forward to vaping.

the jury is still out on this stuff for me.

I love the smell of the juice i ordered which was 555 and applewood.

with the amount of glowing reviews of this stuff i figured i would be floored.

I really like the smell of the 555 and the apple smells nice too..but I think the "tobacco" flavor is kinda gross and very unrealistic.
I keep trying to come back to it and try different attys and voltages...but it still tastes like chewing on a bunch of dandelions or something.

I could not have been happier with the ordering experience and I don't feel ripped off or anything, I'm actually just surprised that I don't like the juice. oh well, everyone is different I guess. I really wanna like it though and I'm gonna keep trying.

do they have anything close to Marlboro lights? how is it if they do? thanks

Not really... unless Virginia tastes like that - haven't tried Virginia... the maxboro is good, but it is richer than you probably want - applewood would probably be the closest, though it does have a tart finish.

Malty might be a good one for you to try.

Hi, Cos! I like Malty, too, it's very neutral and not sweet, but it's not really a tobacco flavor, IMO. My favorite BWB so far.

But if you're looking for a light 'tobacco' flavor, I recommend mixing Drewbacco 1 with a few drops of either Tampa or Texas (or Tennessee) from Vapor Station. I've tried a lot of tobacco eliquids and found that this is my favorite vape. D1 is a little boring on its own, but with the addition of VS tobaccos, it becomes new and interesting and very satisfying. YMMV.

yeah, I think Vapor station, nHaler and dekang have the flavors that most resemble a true analogue... they have the dryness and flavor.

I think BWB's RY4 is the closest thing for me in the BWB repertoire ...

I love BWB for a multitude of other reasons... especially the performance of the juice.

I tried Don's Applewood, Honey Flue and Malty a few weeks ago and found them very nice but a little light on flavor. I vape with a 3.7 eGo with a 510 LR cartomizer and a 5v pass through. I agree with a couple of weeks aging the flavor peaks a bit. I did like the tobacco tincture in Don's juices though but I just wanted a little more flavor and throat hit.

I wanted to try the new ejoker and the 555 but this time I asked Don for a double shot of flavor in the juices. I also ordered some more Applewood and Honey Flue trying the double shot as well. All I have to say is WOW...This is just what I have been looking for. The tobacco and flavor are clean but strong enough to stick with you a bit. I haven't smoked an analog for over 5 months but I found myself as of late wanting something more analoggy (Is that a word?) The Honey Flu has a very nice tobacco flavor with just a touch of sweetness with a great throat hit. The ejoker has less tobacco flavor and is definetly something unique. The Applewood has good tobacco flavor with a hint more of the apple after taste (Very Nice) But the most surprising to be was the 555. I really like this. Great smooth flavor with a little bite to it. All of these juices are 24 mg nic base and are very satisfying. Right out of the bottle without aging these are great. Will be interesting how they age.

Backwoods Brew has done it for me. Don't think I will be looking much anymore.
