nomochokes--Moved to Tech issues section---I have never been able to take apart an 801 battery without destroying the switch housing--IMO it can not be done. You can easily remove the fake grey ash tip --but the eliquid you are trying to clean is encased in the housing of the switch. So there really is no way that I see to "clean" it out--others have reported pouring alcohol in the tube and then draining it out. Still others report using a pipe cleaner--again this may jar loose a froozen switch put does not allow you to actually clean the inside of the housing. The housing once taken apart, can not be put back together again as far as I have scene and I have taken apart many of these batteries----Maybe you will have a better experience---but be careful as to not poke open the actual battery itself--that is bad news.---------Sun

I found direction in the mod section and give it to my son and he put manual switches in my USB pass through. I try taking the first one apart and Used a dead atty and heated around the metal around the screw part with a cig lighter and it came a part by pulling on the dead atty. I put it in the vise. they seem to be glued together. The wires are fragile. So be careful.

Best go find the thread in the mod section.

I've got one, maybe two now, bad batts, but before tossing them, I'm willing to try resurrecting them. The alcohol idea doesn't seem to make much sense to me (perhaps someone could share the technical rationale behind this option?). The pipe cleaner idea, if indeed there is a mechanical toggle switch inside that can get stuck, seems more promising, but am I likely to catch my house on fire or something if anything goes wrong? I am seriously the type of person that can cause a near-catastrophe while weed-wacking. (Which is ironic, considering my nickname -- LONG story behind that!)

Hey all, I need some help. Sorry about stealing a thread, I'm a noob here and couldn't make my own. I just got my first e-cig about a week and a half ago. It's the dse801 from ruyan. Seemed to be getting less vapor, been a lil while since I swapped out of of my two batteries, and figured I'd swap em. Well, the end of the atomizer came loose from the casing (the black part) I switched my batteries, holding onto the black part instead of the casing like I usually did, and my led just flashed green. Freshly charged. Crap?!? Bad battery? Changed the batteries back to the one that worked only to find the led lit orange, but no vapor. I tried holding onto the end of the atomizer while re-screwing down the battery to no avail. All the ended up happening was it got even looser, the battery started flashing green and smoking out of the tip (by the led), and I quickly removed it. Hope it still works. But now the atomizer tip fell out and the 2 wires that were soldered to it are just hanging loose. I got a picture of what the inside of the atomizer tip that came loose looks like but i can't post it until I post more :(

Anyway, both wires (in the atomizer itself, not the tip) are red so I have no idea which goes where. I'm assuming I only got 1 battery left so I don't wanna mess this up until I can get another. Any idea what is what? I don't think I could even tell which red wire is which as there's no way to distinguish the two. PLEASE HELP :( :(

I'll let others read the preceding comment. Mike, your experience is unusual, and although I cannot offer any good advice for resolving your issue, I'm sure someone else can and will in very short order. These forums are very active, and most posts get a prompt reply.

Good luck, and thank you for your service!
