Bad batch of nova heads?

I got a mini vivi nova and 3 2.4 ohm replacement heads and am useing it on a vamo. The 2.4 that it came with died and put in a new one omg the flavor was awfull!!! The one it came with had great flavor i made it through about a half a tank and couldent take it anymore and took that head out.Was weird the ohms said it was 3.2 ohms it was stamped 2.4 anyway the second one started out reading 3.0 ohms and dropped down to 2.5 ohms after i vaped awhile. With the second head i have very muted flavor no matter where i set it at. I tryed fluffing up the wicks and have ran about 3 fills through it now and still blah flavor. So am wondering if i just got some bad heads or what? Will be so glad when my new ibtank shows up this week

my 2.4 heads were higher than stated as well, but no issues not working. Just got my IBtanked last week and it's really nice...enjoy yours

I have had real consistency issues with Vivi Nova replacement heads....so much so that I stopped using them.

Yes its frustrating i get a few decent pulls off it then alot of blah tasteless ones. Even tryed switching my vamo to vv its alittle better but not much

It's been recommended to rinse your replacement heads under hot tap water thoroughly before use. Did you try that?

No i dident try that just crazy how the one that came in it worked so good and the 2 replacement ones i got suck

I give all my new Vivi Nova replacement heads an overnight soak in Everclear, let them air-dry, and then put few drops of VG right on the coil pulse-fire them till the coil glows before I fill the tank. It seems to make HUGE difference.

If I use them right out of the package, they perform just as you describe--a few good hits, and then "blah" and muted flavor....

When you guys replaced it with the new head. Did it have a burnt or chemical taste to it? I thought I was the only with the problem so what's the deal with it.

Yes a very nasty chemical taste. So whats on those things that gives it that taste? Thing is the 2nd one i put in it dident have that nasty taste

Replacement heads are real hit and miss, the ones that come with the stv tanks, so far have been nice coils, and work well out of the box. The replacement ones I've got so far need a clean, dry burn, and the coils spaced out better. Definetly clean and check them out before just throwing them in. Ymmv. Goodluck.

quick question - did you get an actual Vision vivi nova tank or one of the clones ie: smoketech or any other branded tank and heads?

there are several posts regarding some of these not working as well as the vision brand (and vice versa, to be fair)

I have not had an issue with either of my vision brand vivi novas (but I have only replaced the heads once so far - 2.4 ohm - still a newbie)

of course 1 is exclusive to my cinnamon juice with the metal tank option
