Bad connection? adjusting the center pin

I bought the smoktech dct and replacement cartos at 1.5ohms and can't get any of them to work. I'm using a piper vv ego pass through, and they recommend adjusting the center pin. When I put the carto in, nothing. Adjusting the center pin makes the pass through led blink when pressed, won't even activate.

Any suggestions?

I've never used a VV passthrough so take this for what it's worth. Maybe the voltage is set too high and it's trying to push too much current? With 1.5 Ohms you shouldn't be trying any voltage over about 4-4.2 or a current limiter may be kicking in. A passthrough starts at 5V usually.
Consider what my opinion cost you.

thanks for the tip, i thought of that after posting. the passthrough starts at 3ish and bumps up to 4.7 i think not full 5v, but it may have some cutoff for high current. i'll try getting a higher res. carto and see.

seems it is shorting out. i was testing with a volt meter and when i short out the passthrough connection it blinks the led like when the carto is connected. hmm...

I have a piper that has started shorting out after only a day and it's doing the same thing. Bought mine on the classies, so I cant return. Guess I'm going to have to try to fix it.
