So I got my first "real" batch of eliquid... aka more then 10ml.

Bought:

SI Grape 30ml
Nicquid 5ml - strawberry
Nicquid 5ml - Blueberry
Nicquid 5ml - Peach

The SI grape bottle seems off from the pre-filled cartos I based the purchase on. Has a plastic/dry carto (cotton) like flavor. The niquids aren't so bad, though they seem a little off as well (mostly strawberry), but these were just samples so I have no frame of reference. I just have heard good reviews of Nicquid so while I may not like the flavor itself what I am tasting seems not like a preference thing.

I was wondering, I live in the great north, temps have been pretty wild lately (cold/warm etc), my order sat in the mailbox for about 24 hours since I was out of town. Is this a common?

Wondering could the changes in temp/sitting in a metal box mess up the flavor? How often are there actual "bad" batches from vendor?

I want to assume the mailbox did it, the SI 30ml bottles are pretty thin and I could totally see it baking in the mailbox causing leaching like with water bottles.

For the time being, I left the bottles opened and letting them steep to see if maybe some of the bad flavor evaps.

EDIT: I did try fresh cartos, and the nano clearomizers (though I was getting the primer tastes from them to boot... maybe they ruined my taste buds...

I've heard of people leaving them in their glove box to steep...so thats probably not it. When I got my 200ml of liquid from China, it literally was too fresh, the strawberry was perfumy. After about 6 days now its only getting better sitting with the cap off. It's just about vapeable, so give it some time hopefully. Goodluck.

it's probably not bad batches...
most likely it is your own tastes
almost all of us have to do trial and error with liquids..
what I love you might very well hate.........
hang on to them, it is very likely you will love them in a week, month, several months
the one flavor I will recommend to people is unflavored :)

You didn't say who you ordered from, but most places make your juice right when you order them...so even with shipping times, they will be very fresh. Almost all juices need to steep. Tobacco juices usually longer than others. You could give them a warm water bath, shake them REALLY well, take the caps off and put them in a dark cabinet for a few days..go by a couple times a day and shake them really well.

Thanks Guys... Doing the steeping thing (doesn't hurt:)... Hope for better results... I am now looking into local avenues for liquid, just too frustrating to wait and get juice I don't like. At least now when I am starting out and have to make sure I have usable stock on hand.

The Smokeless Image new grape is the one I am most concerned about. It is a 30ml bottle, the pre-filled carts were awesome. The bottle is way off the prefilled flavor, plasticy (thus the thought of leaching)... tried SI nano clearo, and fresh carto... even tried a boge LR carto just to confirm. Its been open and when I get home, hope to have better results. I suppose the cartos could sit longer and auto-steep which could be the problem I suppose.

The Nicquids from Smokeless as well, 2 were ok... had an odd flavor quite possibly steeping will help. They all seemed a bit bad (as in not just a bad flavor opinion) so I just couldn't believe that 4 different flavors.

Granted I am new and have tried 15 flavors from Smokeless image and also 4 from BWB...
