The setup I have been using is a Precise Plus 18350, 510-510 Adapter, Empire mods 1.5 Atty, Empire mods Drip Shield and Delrin Drip Tip.

Today my battery was getting low so I changed it to a fresh one. I then proceded to get my vape on and got shocked. It actually put a small blister on my pinky switch finger. :censored: That smarted.

So I took the battery out and took everything loose. Couldn't find anything wrong so I put everything back together without drip tip and pressed the button. The button stuck and it started overheating so I hit down on my palm forcing the button to drop. I did this several times before I started using my head and looking at my connections.

After several hours and lots of anger I found the problem.

The 510-510 adapter extender. It is made of two pieces with a rubber washer in between them. The inner piece will move back and forth. So what I saw on the inside was the rubber washer not in the correct position. Which aloud metal to metal.

I think it is a poor design because the inner piece is too long. I should have thought this through earlier because it has never seated itself right in my PV.

My conclusion:

Bad design 510-510 (inner piece can move for metal to metal)
It shorted out my addy (which made my button stick even after removing the adapter causing battery to over heat)

Now I am wondering if I have damaged two batteries?

If you caught it pretty quick then your batts are probably ok but you should check them with a multimeter. Those adapters are infamous for that, cheap atties as well have the rubber insulator fail. Its a good habit to get into, to check the adapter daily or everytime you are using. The very thing you had happen is the reason why many people hate adapters, I really wish super-t would have went all the way with that 4 in one adapter because it would have been quality instead of poorly designed. Actually instead of the 4-1 adapter it would be great if David would make a quality 510-510 adapter, not sure how much that would cost but I know me personally, I would be willing to pay 20-25 bucks for a quality machined/insulated adapter but not sure how many others would. If you contact Para here on the forum, he makes his own adapters and he would probably help you if you wanted to give it a try. Lastly, you may need a new spring depending on how hot it got, you should be able to tell because the button will not return out as quickly as it should. I had the same thing happen with an atty and I ruined my spring but my batts were fine. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad vape day! I had a bad vape day yesterday too :( I went horseback riding and went to have a vape afterwards and realized that I lost my pv while on horseback :( :( :( Now I'm reduced to using a back up mod until I can get out there with a metal detector tomorrow... Hopefully I can find it with the metal detector or I might cry!!!

Bummer, doesn't Super-t offer a discount program?? Good luck finding your mod, with some patience and a decent metal detector you should be able to find it.
