If I have the metal washer in my switch it fires the atty as soon as I attempt to attach the adapter to my prodigy tube. If I disassemble the switch and remove the metal washer, everything works fine. I am using the 17670 battery. Is it okay to remove the metal washer? Will I screw anything up?

Same thing happened to me. Yes, you can remove the washer but don't throw it away. Your next battery might be a few mm shorter (batteries can vary, even among the same brand), and you'll need it. So far, however, I have not used the washer in my V3 for either 6v or 3.7v. I have one set of AW LiFePO4s that rattle a little bit. But they're not short enough to require the washer. My other pair (bought at the same time from the same vendor) don't rattle at all.
