I currently have a Eleaf Istick 20, with a anyvape davide tank using aspire BDC replacement coils, I am running at the lowest possible 3.0v and 5.0w which I find fine when it works correctly. Any change of setting and I find its too harsh and leave a bad taste on my tongue. I am going through coils like no tommorow as always saying no or low atomizer and now the button has gone funny. Any recommendation as to what to get next would be much appreciated as the internet has boggled me!

Hi @ejlowrie and welcome to the forum. Without any price guidance I would suggest the iStick 40 w (2600 mah with temperature control) for $30 from myvaporstore with the Aspire Nautilus Mini for $24 from the same place. However another option is to get the Kanger Subbox kit $56 from Vapesupersaver but you'd need to buy a couple 18650 batteries (6 to 10 each) and an independent charger like the Nitecore i2 ($10 to $15).

If you have some kind of budget in mind it would help others give you better recommendations. For example the ipv4s (120 watt with temp control) is on sale at Mtbakervapor for under $60, but it takes 2 18650 at a time, so you'd need a minimum of 4 18650 batteries, a tank, and a charger.

The options are seemingly endless. :)

Thankyou for the response already! Pricewise im looking upto £65.00, I already have a nitecore charger. I had browsed over both the Aspire Nautilus and the Kanger today but got lost with the conflicting reviews

Hello @ejlowrie.

I would suggest looking into the subox or subox mini. You should be able to get two batterys with the change from your subox, so you can have one battery on charge and the other charging and swap over when needed.

It also comes with a great tank.

Also, Welcome to the forum :)

The Kanger Subbox is good if you only use the Subtanks on it. The issue with the Subbox is they made it with a fixed 510 pin (the pin in the mod that connects with the tank to make electrical connection). Using other tanks with the Subbox mod can be dicey due to the other tanks having a different size 510 connection which could push the 510 pin out of alignment.

That being said I love the Subtanks by Kanger. You can buy factory coils for them or build your own (cheapest in the long run) on the rba deck. If you've never made your own coils it's easy as I learned. Cotton, wire and a coil jig (Kuro Koiler $7 at Fasttech) and you're good to go for a long while.

I have been using a Nautilus Mini for over a year....flawlessly, not even a bad coil. I may be lucky but true. That said there is another very inexpensive gem out and it is the GS AIR M, I have one and the coil I have in it has lasted over a month....yes I am amazed too, but also true!

As for devices, I am biased, I stick with Innokin products like the SVD 2.0, MVP 2 and 3.0 and the latest Disrupter. All work flawlessly, even the Cool Fire IV is an excellent choice and are available in your area....assuming you are in Europe or the UK.

The Provari is an excellent choice although high priced and would need to be shipped from the USA...I assume, I mention this for cost considerations.

Thankyou for all the replys and apologies for not saying Hi and thankyou for accepting me to the group. I have been into a vape shop today and had a look at the istick with mine nautilis and kanga subox mini. Both look like a good choice just a bit wary of the leaking on the kang

Hello and welcome, I have a Subox have had it for over a month and no leaks whatsoever, I think they have rectified that ( I hope lol) but it's a great little rig.

My wife is the ultimate tootle puffer. She ran rebuilt protanks 1.8ohm for a couple years on a provari. I bought myself a Istick50 and I did the dumb thing and let her try it out...I lost possession of my Istick to her. Great, ok..bought her 2 more Istick50's so she always have one inhand while other charging and I got my Istick back, she still running 1.8ohm protanks at 10 watts. She "mentioned" that she's tired of refilling the protank umpteen times a day then got her a kanger subtank, rebuilt the RBA to 1.8ohm and she loves it and can't believe how muted the flavor was in the protanks. The subtank produces a great tasting vape
I have a super easy setup to maintain for her, the RBA is much easier to rebuild, than a protank head and she gets 2+ days off the Istick battery.
Moral of my story is Istick 50 is plenty of power for the regular vaper joe. Kanger subtank mini is a great atty, she been hitting it hard for the last 2 weeks and NO issues with anything. Learn to rebuild and save yourself the frustration of relying on a mass produced factory coil. Research where your buying your gear from, and research your buy completely cause a poorly made clone passed off as a genuine can ruin your day mighty fast and there are lots of clones of cloned clones out there.
