I have an authentic Ba Gau.

It will noticeably weaken when the contacts/switch are dirty.

Also, the spring should be beryllium copper for best results. I replaced the magnets, as they broke easily.

where can these springs be found, if ya got a link it would be appreciated...i did search a bit without much luck.

Yes, mines a 14500. I was using a Penelope, but I am changing to a GP Spheriod (thanks to a fellow ECFer)

https://domovaporco.com/product/gp-spheroid-v3-2/

I ordered mine in an assorted 20 pack for 22.95, as I suspected I would find others in there for my other mods....and there was. One thing is for sure, mods use standard size parts where they can.

I have changed three other mods to these springs. They are absolutely worth it.

From the looks of your build, you might be shorting out your coil on the top cap with the way you have it positioned.

Normally one would place the coil legs in the side holes and then use the screws in the top holes to tighten them in.
From the look of the bottom pic, I dont even see any screws holding your coil to the posts. That would cause your coil to move around and possibly short out on your top cap producing some of the symptoms your describing. Definitely secure your coils to the posts with the supplied screws.

Optimally you would build your coil so its positioned near your air hole in the top cap, this way you get proper airflow around your coil and produce a better vape with less throat hit.

Building your coil closer to the deck will also allow you to have longer wick tails that can rest on the deck and hold more juice vs being suspended in the air like in your picture. You will get more vapes per drip session and not dry out your wick as fast.

Hope this helps.

hows the vape on the spheroid? how often do youhave to redrip? thats the biggest hassle with mine now.. to get good flavor and keep from precooking liquid i have to drip all the time. i dont get how the spheroid works either. what is that middle poost with the cup for? do they make a clone of it for cheaper? $135 is a bit of a heft price tag for me

so youre saying the spring is better than the magnet huh? conductivity is good on those? ill have to order some

so the coild is built by my B&M. i really need to get better at building. they used 26g and when i ordered my wire i got 30 and 28 so i screwed up. I cant seem to make my coils pretty either. always get hotspots. also. the screws are on the side of the post. I tried a vertical coil once. it was pretty neat but with my poor building skills i am not sure if it was actually that great.

so i need to order some 26 and get an ohmeter too. I am pretty strapped on a regular basis so we will see how things go. as always, all feedback or suggestions are appreciated guys!

I can't open your pic attachments, so I cannot see your current build.

26 and 28 gage are really only useful for low ohm builds (below 1 ohm) which won't really be safe on your 14500 battery. Most 14500 batteries only have a 6 amp max discharge, so building coils at 0.9 or less aren't recommended because your nearing the batteries safe limit. I would recommend at the lowest build you should aim for is around the 1.2 ohm range just to be on the safe side. Your 30g wire should work great to get into that range.

Here's a battery spec sheet that you might find helpful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?pli=1&key=0AhCCsGn6F0QLdDJxNzV2c0dSc01mUkl6RXNnM2o2R1E&f=true&noheader=true&gid=0

This link should explain a little better on wire gage sizes for different coil builds:
Kanthal Wire Guide

Perhaps check out this thread to get a idea of different coil builds: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/382676-post-pictures-your-working-wick-coil-setup.html

Hope this helps ;)

i could try a build around 1.2 or something. i just dont have an ohmeter so its really tough for me to do anything at all at this point

thanks for the tips though..

after filling the bottom of my atty I am getting rough rough hits. i had no idea this mod hit this hard.

I just got my spheroid, and it's great. It holds about 2ml of liquid, so it lasts me about 8 hours. It's an RBA, not an RDA, or a dripper.

Drifter is giving you some good advice - and that 30 gauge is perfect. If you don't have an ohmmeter, a good rule of thumb is that each wrap of 30 gauge kanthal around a 1/16 drill bit = .2 ohm.
So, 5 wraps = 1 ohm, 6wraps = 1.2 ohms, and so on. Six to seven wraps should do you.

Also, shorten the legs on that build (the length of wire going from the screw to the coil). I would do about half. That way, you have less of a chance of the topper hitting the coil.

I have heard good things about the Euphoria, but make sure you get a good clone. H Cigar, Infinite, and EH Pro have the best reputations.

Make sure to watch some videos on you tube about how to build the Euphoria, as it's different. It's not really a problem to build, but it is different than other attys.

Also, coils don't have to be pretty to work. After you wrap them, while the drill bit that you wrapped it on is still through the coil, you can squish it tighter with a pair of tweezers. You should also have a propane torch. You hold the coil with needlenose pliers or tweezers (watch it - the tweezers can get hot), and heat it till glowing. That helps it retain it's shape, and burns off any coating the kanthal may have.

Also, I haven't heard anything about springs being better than magnets, and many prefer magnets for the feel of it.
