Hello all,

Getting ready to place another order (need more AFB - my all day, every day vape!) and the FOTW caught my eye. Bananas Foster sounds great, especially after reading that it mixes well with AFB.

But...

How's the throat hit on it? I tried Blueberry Cheesecake on my last order, and while it honestly, truly tasted like Blueberry Cheesecake, it was much smoother than what I usually look for.

I'm obviously not expecting something as strong as AFB, but is it close?

Thanks,
-adam

Adam, in these recipes that I have that replicate a "creaminess", I think you'll find a strong throat hit just isn't there. All PG and higher nic might give back the throat hit you're looking for, but may tone back vapor production.

However, we do offer liquids that do pack a punch in the TH department, but you won't find much of that among the "creamy" stuff, like Bananas Foster, Cafe Macchiato, etc.

Funny you ask this. I just got my first order ever from Tasty Vapor and in it came the 36mg Bananas Foster 20% VG

I have to say it's VERY yummy and tasty. I don't know how to classify a throat hit since I'm a little bit of a newbie still but it does feel good going down, not too harsh and not mellow at all.

It's good stuff

Throat Hit is that harshness that you get at the back of your throat, similar to when you've taken a big drag off of a cigarette. Some people really dig that stuff. PG is responsible for this. Sadly, you won't find a big throat hit among the "creamy" stuff we sell, if you do, it won't be a lot.

There's also Lung Hit. If you're more into the feeling of volume in the lungs, the VG is the answer to that.

We offer combinations of PG and VG so that people can kind of approximate what they feel works best for them in providing both Throat Hit and Lung Hit.

However, and as we state on our website, the capacity to add VG is dependent on the amount of nicotine that one wishes for the liquid. Less nicotine, means more room for VG.

And again for those who think we simply dilute with VG. Everything we mix, we mix from scratch, the end result is ALWAYS one ounce and always the nicotine strength you ask for.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm glad my throat doesn't feel like I'm smoking a cigarette but I do feel a little something compared to some other juices I have that I don't feel anything from.
So, there is something there but it's not harsh at all. I love the fact that it feels good going down and is very smooth and tasty.

Thanks again :).

Fair enough, and thanks for the replies. Creamy-sounding flavors having a creamy 'feel' is definitely reasonable. The Blueberry Cheesecake was certainly an amazing replica of the actual dessert. There was no qualms with the actual flavor at all.

I think one of the issues I'm having is that AFB has set such a high standard in terms of TH :)

Hmmm...maybe Root Beer would have some of the same TH characteristics of AFB?

People describe throat hit in different ways. To me, it's more of a... well, it's hard to describe it in words. If it had a sound, it'd be like "Ka-thunk!" in the back of your throat as you inhale. Think back to when you first started smoking. It's that spasm-like feeling you get that would fire up the coughing fit before you got used to it. It's not really harsh to me, though I've experienced a harsh sensation that I differentiate from the actual throat hit. Winstons to me were always harsh, along with all the cheapo brands, like Basic, GPC, etc. But even a good, smooth cigarette like a Marlboro Light would give me that "ka-thunk" feeling in my throat.

I only mention this because I get that sensation in both Cafe Macchiato and Bananas Foster-- both listed among the creamy types that aren't noteworthy for throat hit.

I think peach melba has a good throat hit, as does orange/lime. Actually, peach melba has the strongest hit out of all the juices I've tried from TV. A lot of people claim theirs doesn't taste much, and mine is all PG, but I really like it. Of course, AF and cinnamon apple have a strong throat hit, too.

As said before, the "creamy" flavors don't really have much, but I think bananas foster has more than the rest, because of the cinnamon in it. If you want to give your bananas foster a little more throat hit, mix it with a little bit of AF. It tastes great and really makes it so much better than it already is.
