Since getting into the ecigs and doing lots of research, i have read various snippets of info about the threat of ecigs being banned in uk. What are your thoughts on this? How likely is it to happen and how long? Getting into this and enjoying it along with saving my lungs from tobacco, i would go into a panic at the thought of suddenly not being able to do it any more.

I'm not up to date with movements in England; that said, there's a lot of things that are banned in the US but are still readily available through underground methods. I hardly see England being able to stop people from ordering things through other countries. Yes, you may not be able pick up supplies at the local vendor if such a ban did take place but there will be a black market someplace. Any bans on e-cigs anywhere will not stop people from finding ways of marketing juice and parts. It just might make things a little more difficult for the less determined.

Naturally, the industry would like to keep things on the up and up and I sincerely hope they do. It seems the whole world is going the way of the Nanny State and the best way to fight it is to become politically active. Stop supporting people who think they know what's best for you as an individual. There's lots of groups supporting e-cigs, get active, at least support them with your wallet.

There's a whole bunch of info on the UK legislation in the relevant forums. Makes for interesting reading, but one thing is clear. Any bans or restrictions on e-cigs are in no real sense about public health, but more about protecting profits and incomes. It's pretty criminal what some organisations can get away with.

I'm hoping by the time anything happens with this, I'll be over any nicotine dependance anyway.
