Base is stuck on the atty, can't get it off.

The base on the Rose is so tight I can't unscrew it, suggestions please. I put it in the freezer as I thought I read that might help.

Get it cold then heat it up?

Well you can get yourself a couple of wide rubber bands and some pliers to gently try to unstick it. The bands will provide a limited amount of protection to the metal on the atty.

I've used oven mitts with the rubberized hot side before.

I was able to get it removed, not sure if putting in the freezer did anything or not. Panic set in as I can't go a day without Rose loaded with 5P CL. Lost a little blood and buggered up the finish but that's fine. I left it in the trunk for about 10 mins and then used right after it yesterday. It's hot in AZ right now, so it got hot and then hotter.

Not trying to be snide here but guess you've learned they shouldn't tightened that much. Good to hear its working now.

I use petroleum jelly (Aquaphor or Vasoline) on the o-rings of my tanks every once in a while. It makes taking them apart much easier. I also have a pair of rubber gloves handy just in case one of them get's stuck and needs more friction to get open.
