I have just ordered my first Ecig.
i ordered a 510 from HealthCabin.com
I have a couple of questions...

What exactly should i get for it? batteries, atty's, etc...

What are some GREAT e liquid flavors to try?

and last everyone seem's to trade up fairly quickly to an ego, or some type of mod. what type of mod would you recommend to someone whos only experience is with a 510?

:vapor:stay vapin!

If you vape even moderately I'd recommend you have an extra battery. When I used a 510 it wouldn't keep up with me and I was left without a charged battery sometimes. A third one will alleviate this problem. I'd also suggest you get an extra atty since they do die, usually at the most inconvenient time. Or as a backup you could also keep a box of cartomizers on hand. Everyone has their favorite juice and vendor, but that doesn't mean you'll like them. I'd recommend you just try a few. Look for flavors that sound good, but throw in one or two that might sound strange. Things taste better vaped than smoked. You'll want to start with at least 30ml of juices in different strengths and flavors but in small bottles. Sampler packs are good for that. Using this approach hopefully you'll find something that you want to vape all the time, or at least till you find something you like better.

As far as recommending a mod. Try your 510 out first. You may not like vaping, but you probably will. After you get past the learning curve that comes with getting started you'll know what you like or don't like a bit better. That's when you can start looking for features that are important to you.

For simplicity and replacement sake, get the eGo or Riva batts. You can get the eGo kit at Liberty Flights for a really good price and it comes with 2 batts, 2 attys, 2 cones, plus the special charging cable you need to high speed charge the eGo batt (because it is a higher capacity batt). Until you actually get the PV in your hands and get experienced with it, I don't think a mod is a way to go.

Get a drip tip for dripping at home and cartos for on the go.

Accessories needed for a 510 extra atties, batteries, and maybe some kind of carrying case or PPC.

Flavors: tobacco - marlboro, RY4, DKtab are popular and I like them; menthol: nuwport is a good tab/menthol, most vendors have a just menthol. Other flavors just try what you like, get a small samples size first. If you like the cinnamon candy then you have to try Tastyvapor's Atomic Cinnacide. Also, try 24mg+ nic when you first start and adjust as needed.

I started on an carto/808 and the battery life was a pain in the ..... Then I got an 510/ego and was down to 1 batteries a day. I got a LR atty for my ego and was up to 2 batteries a day.
So I tried n inexpensive box mod from Ken's boxmods. I am now a box mod convert. I have 2 from Ken a 3.7 battery box and a 5v boxmod, and will soon be moving up to a BigDaddy variable volt from there. I often get 2 days or more of battery life from these.

Oh, when you move to a bigger battery get a Low resistance atty and a driptip.

Welcome and good luck. keep at it.

If you like it then make sure you buy enough to have at least 3 batteries (so you can carry 2 spare charged ones or have at least 2 left if one fails eventually), at least 3 attys total (to alternate 2 - i.e. using one while cleaning one, plus a total spare in case of atty failure), blank carts, juices. Optional: Some normal (not LR) cartos with soft tip if you want to try cartos. If you bought a manual battery you can also try a drip tip (I recommend metal, delrin second best, clear plastic not so good). A PCC case for charging batteries on the go. A PT for vaping off AC (with a good AC to USB adapter of at least 1 amp. I use the Rosewill 2-amp 4-port USB to AC adapter from Newegg - if you have enough battery to usb cables it can charge up to 4 standard voltage batteries at once OR run a PT while charging 2 - each battery charger needs 1/2 amp and a PT needs 1 amp of the available 2 amps)

Juices - since my other two faves are currently closed for family emergencies (Backwoods Brew and Velvet Vapors) I recommend FreedomSmokeUSA (usual discount code is freedomsmokeusa for 10% off). Some flavors are available in $2.25 samples but only in 24mg nicotine and fixed PG/VG. Their normal sections have all of their ejuices in a wide variety of PG/VG ratios and your choice of nicotine. They usually add a free random sample whenever I order juice so that is fun. For PG/VG I like 70pg/30vg and sometimes for more TH 80/20, and maybe for fruity dessert smooth 50/50

You should order a bunch of sample juices and a couple of packages of cartomizers. My favorite juice so far is Atomic Cinnacide by Tasty Vapor. However, it's real strong! I've tried a few tobacco juices that came with my starter kit. Many vendors sell small sample bottles; I just ordered like 20 of the 5 and 6 ml small bottles from various vendors. I'm excited to try all the flavors. I made sure that I have enough cartomizers to sample them all.

The 510 is good to start with, because you can stop there and be happy if it works for you, or it provides a clear path to bigger batteries/higher power, etc.

Last night I ordered a ProVari, because it offers variable voltage, to let me find the sweet spot for every juice/atomizer combo. It's much more expensive than the kit you ordered, but I'm hopeful it'll be my end point.

As lamer said: just buy an eGo battery, it will last a whole day - or more, if you won't vape it so much.
Then, buy few cartomizers to try them out - and for the backup if the atomizer will stop working (or will start stinking...).

Good advice.
I started with cartos/808 also and moved up to the Ego mega battery, passthrough, and boge 510 cartos.
The hang time on the mega battery is excellent for a heavy vaper on the go.
I also have a car USB charger because I'm always either in my car, or otherwise on the run.
That way I don't need the added hassle of a personal charging case. Just one more thing to misplace.
