Several DIY sites sell an e-liquid sweetner and it is sucralose in pg, other mixers use stevia in pg and for a light caramel type sweetner there is ethyl maltol in pg aka tfa coton candy flavoring. A few of the flavorings themself can be used as a sweetner like marshmallow, brown sugar, etc. I hope this is the info you are looking for.

I read the description of some sweeteners before buying and saw that they were made with the same stuff that artificial sweetener is. I mixed with water and put in the juice, but I'm not sure it worked. LOL I only mixed it with a malt flavor so far that I wanted to make taste kind of like a milkshake instead.

Does the logic of this experiment make sense?

Please be careful! Most artificial sweeteners from the grocery store contain other ingredients besides sucralose. These additives are probably fine for food, but we are vaporizing and inhaling, not eating. I would not recommend using anything as a sweetner in juice other than pure sucralose, stevia, etc.

so is there a place I can find more info on Ethyl Maltol? Search engines seem to only point at e-cig sites - surely the stuff existed before e-cigs? What else is it used for? What is it exactly? Is it better to buy crystal form or pre-diluted in . . . . which? PG? VG? PGA? Thanks :)

Description

Ethyl maltol is derived from maltol (E636) by replacing one metholy group with an ethyl group. Maltol is a naturally occurring organic compound that is found in the bark of larch trees, pine needles, and roasted malt. Commercially it is produced by the extraction of larch trees, or by the roasting of malt, or produced by heating lactose and maltose. It produces a white, crystalline powder that is very soluble, and has a distinct caramel/butterscotch smell. It is used as a flavour enhancer in food, especially in breads and cakes.
Common Uses

Used in dairy-based drinks, dairy-based desserts, cocoa products, chocolate products, chocolate substitutes, confectionary, chewing gum, bakery and baked goods, sports drinks, coffee, coffee substitutes, tea, herbal infusions, hot cereal and grain beverages, wines and fruit wine.

I buy it in crystal form and dilute in PG.

I am begining to get into the DYI stuff myself. I went today to a cake decorating supply house and picked up a bunch of LorAnn flavorings. I found a bag of crystals, and I thought it read "ISO Malt" would that be the same as "Ethyl Malt"?

I am trying really hard to find "Malt flavoring" but could not. From what im gathering, "ISO" or "Ethyl" Malt is nothing more than a sweetner, and not a "Malt Flavoring". Am I correct? I have on order some "EZ-SWEETS" which is supposed to be pure Sucralose, and can be vaped. Would this be correct?

I want to try and make my own version of BWB "Malty Toffee" which I love. But once again, I cannot seem to find a "Malt" flavoring. Any Ideas? Much thanx for any light you can shed..

I really don't know the answers to your great questions. I'm so sorry. I don't want to tell you to use something that could be bad for you. I don't know anything about Sucralose or ISO Maltol for vaping. Maybe someone else does and will chime in here for you.

Would Malted Milk flavoring work for you? http://www.ecigexpress.com/flavoring-signature-flavors-c-16_25/malted-milk-select-size-p-356

There's also a "Malted Madness": http://www.ecigexpress.com/manager-s-specials-c-86/malted-madness-e-liquid-new-edition-p-1281

Much thanx !. I read on another forum that LorAnn's "Cotton Candy" flavoring is nothing more than the above mentioned EM that's already been liquified. (I did buy a couple of dram bottles), is that true?

Much appreciated the Malt links !!!!!

Follow Up:
Much thanx again !!. I went to One stop DIY shop and ordered the Malted Milk and EM (just to be safe). I guess I'll use the EZ-SWEET in my coffee as I'm a diabetic..:)
