You can always say it's just in case. "What if I need it and it's not there?" I think most parents would prefer their kids protect themselves than randomly leveling up their job class to grandparents. lol

Went to batam recently. Didn't bring any PV along. Really suffered with analogs there. Got sell PV, da analog looking ones for about SGD$25-$30. Got taste but no nic.
But like I mentioned before: The Customs have bigger thing to worry about than your insignificant PV...
Not to say that you should bring it in there like a big boss. Dismantle and put around your stuffs should be fine...

I brought my ego out across customs North and South with no problems for i dunno how many times. What i do is separate them, the batteries put together with a shaving KIT (Manual ones) Mine is is the vibrating one, i forgot what name... so inside got battery one. lol i was hoping they think its just another shaver batt. lol . Juices with my bag of Liquids like shampoos and what not (juices are in those standard dropper bottles). the atties/carto just dump into side pockets. And i just throw the bag in the xray scanner with a pokerface LOL.
