Hi,

I had a spare batterie in my left pocket some minutes ago:
$24.04 Authentic Panasonic NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries (4-Pack) 4-pack - unprotected at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Suddently, It became EXTREMLY hot in a few seconds, it did burn my leg.
I did throw the batterie out of my house, I think it was gonna explose on my leg.

I'm kinda shocked with this event, do you have any informations about that?

Thanks..
I hope one of my batts never exploses.[emoji58]

The only time a battery goes in my pocket is if it's in a plastic battery case (or a mod).

My batteries are either in a mod, in a charger, or in a protective plastic case. I store then in cases after they're fully charged so I can just grab a handful for the day and throw them in my bag without worrying about shorting them and causing harm to my stuff or my person.

OP - please make a small investment in some battery cases and use them.

I'm glad you weren't seriously injured.

Keep batteries in a plastic case like this:

Glad it didn't hurt you any more than it did!
Good advice here! I would just add to not use that battery any more. It was probably damaged by the short circuiting.

Removing the wrap definitely did not help. Luckily it didn't go off inside your mod! I'm about to make the switch to removable batteries, and after seeing the horror stories about shorting/exploding/venting batteries, mine will be in one of two places: the mod or charger. Luckily you weren't hurt but this should serve as a learning experience.
