Did you have a look at fastech? I just ordered a few evod starter kits from them . They automatically rerouted them through Singapore, because they were batteries. I couldn't come close to getting them that cheap anywhere else. My MVP came from there and I received it in 15 days. No tax and free shipping-win-win in my book! Great customer service and guarantees.

The deal is that lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods, and shippers have to comply with extra regulations for them to be shipped into Canada. So I guess it depends on where you're buying them from & how they're shipped - I would think that a well-established vendor should know what they're doing regarding international shipping. But again, I guess it depends on the vendor because when I ordered my ProVari they specifically stated that they do not ship batteries internationally, so I assume it's because they just want to avoid the hassle. So I just got batteries from within Canada to save myself any hassle.
