Just ordered a SID from vapingme.com. I have a MVP V2 but this is my first mod needing rechargeable batteries. Looking for just a single battery charger that's easy to use and inexpensive but reliable. And also a battery recommendation would be nice as well. From what I read I should stick with "IMR" only batteries. Anyway any info would be nice. Thanks ECF Fam.

When I first got my SID (and before that, EVIC), I used an xtar Mp1 and a Panasonic 18650 (not IMR).

I then upgraded my charger.

I bought 3 of those green Panasonic 3,400mAh "flashlight" batteries on the recommendation of my vape shop. Since then, they have become the evil scourge of the earth, never to be used by anybody with an ounce of sense.

I use mine everyday. :)

Would I buy them again?.. NO. I can afford better.

You'll want to use a name brand, safe chemistry, high drain, IMR or hybrid battery.

Not an off brand, low drain, protected or unprotected ICR li-ion battery.

Lots of great info here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...43-batteries-chargers-multi-meters-forum.html

A list of the batteries you should choose from are in the link Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?

You can't go wrong by buying a red AW 18650 IMR 2000mAh battery for your SID. RTD Vapor is a recommended vendor to purchase all batteries and chargers from. Chargers made by Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore are recommended chargers.

Yeah, I use those same 18650b pannys in my eVic and SID. (Sarcasm/on) They suck. I only get 15 hrs of constant vaping out of them daily (sarcasm/off).

Now I do understand that they are only 6.8 amp batteries, not high drain, not suitable for sub ohming.

They work great in my regulated mods that will not draw more than 4 amps such as the SID and the eVic.

I also have a $5 xtar MP1 charger that works ok . I use it on the road (every other day) Takes forever to charge and will run a battery up to 4.25 v, (a bit too high).

My batteries are 6 months old, perform just as they did brand new and I feel safe using them in the mods that I use.

Just my experience.
