Batteries (automatic) out of control - DSE 901

I've lost two good batteries due to the fact that they turn on randomly, do not turn off, yet still seem to have decent charges and alot of power. I have no idea what causes it -- liquid seeping in, overuse, or whatever. The two batteries in question are from different websites/manufacturers, look different, etc. Sometimes if I take them off the atomizer and blow direct inside of the battery this stops, but it starts up again right after.

Is there any way to remedy this problem? batteries are expensive. MUCH thanks.

Sorry to say this but the auto 901 batteries are pretty much worthless. Juice leaks down into them and the switch gets all gunked up and causes them to go wonky. I went threw about 10 of them before I figured out it was me overfilling the carts or dripping. I got a manual passthru then a Nicostick battery mod and never looked back. You can now get manual 901 batteries and my son used the same 3 until he got his Chuck last month, used them about 5 months.

Try blowing them out thru the LED end. Rest them LED upright at night. You might be able to save them or at least make them last until you can get a mod or manuals.

Thanks alot, will try that. Figured switching to manual batteries would help, will do that too. On this usb passthrough I got, the manual button got physically stuck a number of times, so I was skeptical about using manuals for a while, but I would much prefer it at this point.

If you are even remotely handy with tools you can make your own Nicostick or make the Nicostick into a passthru. I am disabled and can't stand or sit long enough to make one but my son learned how after just a couple bad ones. The parts are cheap. You cam make one for less than $10 and it will last forever. The Nicostick runs on a 14500 battery that lasts me at least 6-7 hours.

if you really like 901 auto batteries, you can, for a few dollars, pick up a battery charger extension meant for 901 manual batteries and use it between the atomizer and the battery as a 'liquid trap'. You'll need one anyway if you go with manual batts.

Awesome idea! I have a couple of those but never thought to use them that way.
