Sony VTC4
Xtar 30A
Orbtronic SX30

Those are the only true 30A continuous discharge batteries on the market right now. The Xtar 30A is really just a rewrapped Sony VTC4. They buy VTC4s from Sony and put their own label on them. The Orbtronic SX30 is a battery produced for Orbtronic that uses their own specification. In my experience, the SX30 holds it's charge slightly longer than the VTC4, but it also costs a little more. (It does come with a plastic battery case for safe storage when not in use though)

Any of those 3 batteries should work really well for you. You may also see someone advertising a Sony VTC5. I would avoid these as Sony stopped production of them years ago and virtually all of the ones you see now are fakes and should be considered unsafe.

The purple Efest 2100 mah 30 amp battery is also allegedly a re-wrapped Sony VTC4.

Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised

That may be true, but I personally cannot recommend any Efest battery. I do not support companies that rewrap and fail to disclose what the batteries really are. If Xtar or Orbtronic sells a rewrap they tell you who the original manufacturer is and give the correct specs for the battery. They don't mark a 20A continuous discharge battery with a 35A label which is not only dishonest, but potentially dangerous for the customer buying it IMO.

I've rarely recommended Efest for the same reasons.

Not to say that I haven't bought or used Efests. I broke down and bought two purple Efest 2100 30 amp batteries last fall because I was in immediate need for a 30 amp battery, and no one in town had anything in stock except for the Efests. Knowing that they were re-wrapped Sony VTC4 softened my convictions.

CDR of VTC4's is 30A. 2100 mAh. That's why so many people use them. Honestly, I would love to have VTC5's since they are 30A CDR and 2600 mAh, but they're practically impossible to find as far as authentics go. I bought some LG HE4's to go in my iPV4, but I don't have the mod or the batteries yet. At 20A CDR and 2500 mAh, they should do absolutely fine in a regulated mod. Especially considering there are 2 of them. :)

OK the mod calls for for a 40 amp battery according to the instruction manual after a lot of research I ended up getting a pair of Samsung R25 20 amp continuous draw got my hands on a datasheet shows 100 amps momentary running them and having absolutely no problems with them they run cold firing down to. 05 I worked it out on omhs calculator came to like what 35 amp draw

If you're talking about the IPV4, they usually call for 25A batteries and they are talking about continuous discharge, not pulsed. I don't know where you get the 40A number because you didn't link to it.

THERE IS NO SAFE WAY TO RUN ANY BATTERY AT 100 AMPS, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Sorry, just had to shout there.

With a variable wattage device battery amp draw depends only on watts set, atty resistance has nothing to do with it. You show 30 J in the picture which will draw around 12 amps max. You can check this out yourself with the calculator you can find here.

Out of curiosity, has anyone checked out these?

I came across these through Pegasus, FYI.
