Hey all...I currently have a couple mods that take 18650 batteries and I've been using a couple 2000mah (eFest) batteries I bought awhile ago. I'd like to get something that will last a bit longer however but I'm not sure exactly what to get (or what NOT to get). Since I only intend on using these in regulated mods, can I simply get the highest mah batteries I can find or are there other considerations I should take into account. This might be a very general question but all the battery safety talk I've heard since I started vaping has me wanting to be sure I'm getting the right product. Thanks a ton in advance!!!

It depends on what is on the top of your regulated mod. They (regulated mods) have built in protections but I still buy batteries with AMP limits I will never reach. Type in your specs here Ohm's law | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators and see what the power draw on the battery is. Go beyond what you think you may build to see how it affects draw.

So power draw of your builds should be your first consideration then mah. It is for me.

This is incorrect. Your device has a max INPUT current rating. Meet or exceed that number with your batteries continuous discharge rating. Regulated mods that adjust voltage don't work like mechs.

What mod are you putting them in. A high wattage box mod need a good high amp rated battery such as Sony VTC4, Samsung 25r, or the LG HE2. RTD Vapor is one of the best retailers for AUTHENTIC batteries. Please make sure you get good quality batteries for your setup. It is worth more to spend a couple more bucks for good batteries and not risk your mod or hand in the process.

I only buy good batteries, regardless of the device I'm using them in. That means AW (in a couple of mech mods at 1.2-1.4 ohms), Sony VTC, and Samsung. Why risk a battery running away and exploding for a few bucks?

I do have some efest batteries that I use in my Reo mods, but I'm well above 1-ohm so it's not an issue.

Don't skimp on your batteries - it's not worth the risk, IMO.
