Just got my first ProVari a couple of weeks ago. Love it!

Just one question. The batteries only charge to 4.1, and I thought it was supposed to be 4.2. I got the Tenergy charger and two AW IMR 18490 batteries from ProVape along with the ProVari, so they're only about 2 weeks old too. Does this sound like a problem, or is there normally some variability in this? Thanks,

Susan

Sometimes the batts need a few cycles. Although after 2 weeks, I would think they would be charging a little higher. It could also be the charger. I would recommend getting an xtar charger, they aren't that expensive. I don't guarantee that this will be the soloution, but it would be my next step.

How are you testing your batteries voltage? Are you doing with your Provari? If you are and an atty is attached its resisantce will lower the voltage reading...

Thanks very much for all your help. I've only charged the batteries a couple of times each (turns out it was more like one week than two, when I went back and checked the exact date) so I think I'll try giving it a little more time. After that, I'll look into a better charger. I was checking it on the ProVari without an atomizer attached. Thanks again,

Susan

4.1 is normal and recommended....if you even get a smidgen above 4.2 you risk damaging the battery and potential for outgasing/explosion. my pila charger has not nor ever will let a battery get to 4.2. remember 4.2 is the max, not the recommended capacity. i will not use any other charger, save for maybe an xtar, cause i know the battery will be stopped at 4.1 and wont go higher

Thanks for the information! I always thought 4.2 was "good", now I know better.
