Which does beg the question: Why are these little devices so expensive? Are they more complex than a calculator? A digital watch that keeps track of my exercise? A cell phone that can take video or still pictures, as well as voice or text? An MP3 player? All can be bought cheaper than a good e-cig, which probably costs .. $5 to manufacture in China.

I can only compare these to crude oil: It costs Saudi Arabia $5 a barrel to pump crude oil from the ground; it sells for $130 a barrel now. 'bout the same as e-cigs. But at least the crude oil always works!

Hi Marian...the Janty K.I.S.S. Classics battery last really long..about 11 hours...or more...I have use one from 9 am till 11 pm...and their charge time is only 1 hour......They last longer because of the manual switch but If you use the Auto switch will last at around 8 hour..not bad but still my kits are new but let's see whether it stood up to constant abuse...time will tell...

Do let us know how good are the new Sedansa batteries..

You can Bypass the new strict regulations imposed by the new security measure for the China Olympics by buying E-pipe cartridges..they shipped faster by almost 3 weeks compared to snail mail for small bottles...I have done that but a slightly higher charge but still cheaper compared to Freesmoke. 7 packs of E-pipe cartridges will yield at least 50 ml of e-liquid but it requires a lot of work by squeezing it out using a 20 ml syringe(without needle) and please wear a surgical glove..the liquids do cause havoc on my hands..contact dermatitis to the unwary....

Oh, I can't wait to ge my KISS Box. My biggest gripe has been the batteries, and so I always have several e-cigs going at any one given time (cycling through each until they need recharging). That is how I get through the day without having to bring my chargers to the office. With the KISS Box I can just keep one e-cig going at a time, especially when I'm plugged in with the USB cable/unit via computer or electrical current (if I understand correctly). And I betcha the draws/drags will be consistently much stronger (punchier) with the added power -- I'm hoping.

The one-hour charge time is wonderful!! Is that 1 hour even for the first time?

Please keep us apprised every once in a while with how the Keep-it-simple-stupid Janty is working out for you and share with us any tips & tricks that you may come across which you find enhance your vaping experience with this new device.

Yes, I will let everyone know about my thoughts on the "eight-hour" Sedansa batteries.

And I do have my syringes and needles and the big plunger syringe as well. When I run out of my bottles of e-liquid, I'll start on all of my pipe and cigar cartridges!

put the lit end into your mouth.. just the battery without the atomizer attached and blow hard.. it will force any gunge out if there is any in there..

u can also do it with atomizer attached (no cart) it will heat up the coil and clean the ceramic pot out.. dont do it for too long else it might burn the coil out.. only do it if the atomizer isnt working too well.. i treat them all as disposable but then again i dont buy the expensive brands.. it the good blow thru (cooking) dosnt bring it back to life the bin is the only place for it..

ps.. just to add.. after the reverse blow thru clean out the atomizer will need a prime of a few drop before any smoke is seen.. the wire gauze needs to be re-soaked to get things going again..

Hi Trog:

Thank you for your feedback. Do you recommend this method for pen-styles such as Smart Fixx, Sedansa, and/or Njoy?

like trog,i dont believe in buying very expensive e-cigs-not until they improve as a whole anyway.i revived my pen styles atomiser a few weeks ago using this method-i was getting tiny amount of vapour,so had nothing to lose really.take the battery and cartridge off the atomiser and blow for 3-5 seconds from the battery side of the atomiser-be very careful not to overcook it!leave it for a minute and repeat.then put 2 drops of liquid from the cartridge,or e-liquid if you have it,directly onto the actual atomiser itself.replace mouthpiece minus the cartridge bit-use the hollow one that came with the cig perhaps-put in a fully charged battery, and drysmoke it until you get some vapour--be careful not to overheat the atomiser at any time!when vapour has dimished(but not entirely gone),put in a cartridge and you should be good to go!id try this before washing the atomiser personally--i think id wash it as a last resort, when i had nothing else to try.always be mindful that too much sucking and blowing can overheat your atomiser and if it burns out you are screwed...so do so at your own risk-and make sure you arent invalidating your manufacturers warranty by drysmoking...i guess thats the beauty of buying a device which is inexpensive and with cheap parts readily available-you dont have to worry about stuff like that!

a little re-seller bird told me today he pays 1.5 for an atomizer.. i cant remember if it was dollars or pounds.. he he

they are good ones that actually work as well.. unlike some.. i ordered a couple of spares and batteries.. roughly £5 for the atomizers and £8 for the batteries..

i recon the batteries are good for a month and atomizers fade off after a week..

they will all last longer but not work as well as when they are new.. the more expensive ones are no different than the cheap ones.. but you cant just throw em in the bin.. he he

there are some huge mark-ups being charged out there.. and i mean huge..

Thank you ALL for such helpful suggestions and for your time and effort in giving me your feedback. I think I will start a binder/folder and index all of these Tips & Tricks for future reference -- most of which I already practice, but it's nice to get everyone's perspectives and opinions as to what works best for them.

I think going CHEAP on these batteries is a pretty good idea, except I think all of them are basically cheap -- and I mean cheap in construction. I think the Sedansa has the best, longer-lasting batteries, but they also die pretty quickly. Hopefully the new Sedansa long-life batteries I have on order will be an improvement over the old ones, if in fact they really are "new." And then, of course, I also have on order the Janty Classic KISSBox, whose USB power supply sounds quite inviting and interesting to me. We shall see . . .

I just got my first E-cigarette from Sedansa and i can't get any battery life over an hour. I placed both batteries in the charger for 4 hours before i even used it once. I live in the US and I am wondering if I could be having a problem with my converter plug giving a slower charge or something like that. On a side note I was wondering if the plastic cap in the atomizer tube was really necessary..... it keeps falling out every time I change it and has become annoying to get back in properly again.

how long a battery lasts between charges has a lot to do with how well the atomizer/cig works.. if the atomizer is working well and one puff produces reasonable smoke it will last a lot longer than a poor atomizer/cig that takes several puffs to get smoke.. a bit of a vicious circle sets in.. if one part dosnt work well neither does the other..

Plastic cap? Can you describe that? Is this a pen style or mini?

I got it all under control now.... First i found an old cell phone charger that fits in the side of my charger so i don't have to use the crappy little American adapter and it charges better than i could have hoped for. Secondly , the first time i loaded a nicotine cartridge I loaded the plastic cap that stops it from leaking. Next few times i changed it out i saw it and realized what it was. Every thing works perfect now and i have no complaints. :D
