Hi,

I'm new in vaping world. I vape since 6 months. I have some doubts so I'm looking for some help.
I bought recently 2 mods: 1 Vamo v5 and 1 Mech MOD clone.
I bought 3 batteries and a charger together:
1 charger Trustfire TR001
2 bateries Fujicell 18350
1 battery LG 18650 2600mah (model LGABB41865)

I was reading about security in vaping about the batteries and i became concerned, because i dont know what I'm using.
Could some one tell me if this batteries are IMR or ICR and if they are indicated to use in a VAMO V5 and a MECH MOD?

Thanks in advance

For the LG:

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/theshorelinemarket/LG-18650-2600.pdf

Max discharge 1.5C, Personally I wouldn't even consider using them, especially since they are ICR and not IMR. 1.5C is equivalent to about 4A MAX discharge.

Don't vape that thing, especially in a mech mod.

Unfortunately, it looks like you might be in the market for a new set of batteries. I'm not familiar with Fujicell with respect to vaping, and since there's no identifying number to go with them, I wouldn't really trust them.

Yea, I dont know fujicall in terms of vaping. You may need new ones.

As for the LG hmm

Whats the continuos output for them? You need to know that.

Plus, Never buy chargers or batteries that Have the word FIRE in them.

According to this website's listing of battery specs, the LGABB41865 cell type is a high-drain, safe chemistry IMR/hybrid (LiNi-Co-MnO2), so going by that it should be good to use in any mechanical or regulated VV/VW mod. However, the battery spec sheet does not list the amp rating, so without that data I wouldn't use this for any sub-ohm vaping.

Edit after posting the above: I did a further Google search and found two other vendors who said this is an ICR battery and another that listed the chemistry as a IMR/hybrid, but none of them list the amp rating.

Seeing as I couldn't find any consistancy in the chemistry or find the amp rating of the battery anywhere, I cant recommend it as being safe.

I could find no info on the Fugicell 18350. My policy is to never use any battery in a mod that I can't identify the chemistry of the battery or its specifications, so I can not recommend you using this battery for anything other than a flashlight. You have to assume that this is an unprotected ICR battery.

I would also get a better battery charger. That Trustfire has been known to overcharge batteries and cause fires. An Xtar, Nitecore Intellicharger, or Efest LUC charger would be better quality and safer.

EDIT: in after Baditude, I would trust him more than I trust myself :). I thought the chemistry looked IMR-ish, but I wasn't certain.

Hi

Thanks for the info.

Redeuler, my LG is LGABB41865 ->> LGB4. The one in the specs you post is B3. Do you think they have the same specs?

Regarding the Fujicell I really cant find any info.

Thanks

You are right, I hadn't noticed those are specs for a battery with a slightly different model number. I am by no means a battery expert, so when the Google search turned up that ECF thread, I looked no further. I don't know how closely what you have matches that spec sheet.

That said, a more thorough search is showing a lot of vendors unrelated to vaping selling them, but nobody is listing an amp limit or C rating, a very important measure for our high-drain application. And nobody else has much to say about them, besides merchants listing them for sale.

If a few vapers used these batteries, I would expect more forum posts on them. That being the case, I assume you haven't found a new battery that would generally be considered acceptable, but instead received one of the many hundreds of 18650s that just don't live up to the tough standards we demand from batteries, as vapers.

I wish it were otherwise, but it's probably a good idea to seek out something different. The link to Baditude's blog above is a very good source of model numbers that you can trust.

Hi guys.. i'm another newbie here..

i actually had same concerns about the LGABB41865.. i found link as below that somewhat has its specs.. (but i currently not allow to post links)
is it safe if i'm using on a Vamo?

if you go to alibaba and search for LGABB41865 you will get the specs

when referring to the term "safe",it actually depends on your builds, not your mod IMHO.
