Hey all!

Okay..truly, I'm not a complainer.

I've had batteries replaced and the people at Vapor4Life have been awesome. Kudos! Best customer service EVER! :D

But I now have another battery that is freaking out. It's new and just keeps going...on its own. This battery has went rogue. After the charge,
the light keeps going off at the tip and if I attach a cartomizer to it, it just keeps puffing away at it ON ITS OWN. I've never had a battery do this.
In fact, I have a battery I lost in the huge snow storm in my drive way. After the snow melted, my husband found it. It's dinged up with some paint missing, but works like a champ. :w00t:

I didn't drop it or anything. In fact, it's a new battery to replace a previous battery that wasn't working correctly.

SO....is this something that anyone else has come along by and is fixable at home? because now I just feel like a nuisance.

Can one person get so many defective batteries, am I going crazy? Or do I need to contact customer service once again.

P.S. I sent back all the defective batteries.

Don't feel like a nuisance! These things happen unfortunately.

Have you ever tried a manual? They have lower failure rates, and work awesome! I have some manuals that are still working after 6 months. They produce more vapor, and if you drop them are less likely to break....also if you refill..the juice won't mess anything up like the autos sometimes do. The button takes a day or two of getting used to, but after that tis heaven!

It's not you....lol.

I had the same sort of luck with the first batch of shorties that were released. Each one just...well, grrrr.

Since then, it's been smooth sailing.

I think most of us have had at least one massive bump in the road hardware wise in our vaping lives, and hopefully this one is yours.

You've every right to mutter the odd swear word under your breath (or out loud, as in my case...lol).

However, if you are using the autos, they are SO much more prone to wierdness. Refilling cartomizers can make them goofy, as they were designed to work perfectly with one time use cartomizers. Manuals are the way to go when refilling.

Keep us posted, and never worry about having to contact val @ customer service. She's there to help.

I've emailed Val so many times....I'm starting to feel like a nuisance. And it's a auto.
It's probably a really sensitive one. One of my blucig batt's was like that. The slightest amount of wind would set it off. Even the motion of moving it to my mouth would set it off, and it would even go off in the PCC! Thus, I love my manual batts.

Thanks ladies and gents!

I emailed her again. I asked her if I could try a manual instead of an auto to replace this battery. Appreciate the suggestions!

I'll let ya all know what happens! :D

That's why sound-activation stinks.

These aren't sound activated, they're vacuum actuated. Totally different animal.

preach on girl! I love my manuals, still not used to them but I am getting there. Advice for new manual users: press the button with you thumb, It's easier to use and hold.

sorry I chopped it Born trying to save space.

I used autos and refilled the cartos and the same thing happened to me, they stayed lit after I inhaled. I inhale for about 5 seconds, I had the kr808 not the VK. I broke 4 auto batts in 1 month and 1 week. I was going to order 2 XL VK and called Steve and asked if I can get manuals and they work perfect now.

Everybody can switch to XL manuals!! Leave all those little auto shorties for me! I've only had one that actually gave up so far. And that was pretty much, almost certainly, and very more than likely, due to an errant drill bit. I fill all my own carts, abuse my batteries mercilessly, and crazily attempt modifications to them. In the end, they all love me. You just got to give them a little more tlc than manuals.

Thanks Steve!

Seems as though I can't trade in my auto for a manual as per the email I received though...oh well.

I need to purchase carts anyways. I'm gonna go put all my batteries through a good cleaning right now and see if that clears up all my issues.

It's funny though that the battery that spent the winter under snow in my gravel driveway is the most reliable battery I have. It was probably driven over too  The new one is the one not working. It just continuously goes off on it's own. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix or what's causing it?

Gonna get a manual to try it out as well.

I would check the holes at the led end. You can tell if the cap is on too tight or one hole is not cut out and this will cause the problem you are talking about. Just use a dental pick and and pull it out a little or make the hole bigger (at the led end only!!!) I use almost all autos in every size due to I just do not like the button, and this method seems to fix it most of the time. Out of 40 batteries I have ordered, only 3 or 4 have given me problems. If this does not work, then I send it back and request a new one.
