I thought I saw a thread on here that helped with what batteries were better with what ohm loads and now don't see it. Was I imagining things or is it there? I am using a Dimitri mechanical mod with parallel authentic vtc4 batteries. Just want to make sure I don't go to low with my ohms. Any help with the thread or idea on load would be great.

Ok. Right now I'm at .6ohm and the dark horse works well. What batteries would work for below .2?

your not gonna get much better than Sony vtc4's since you cant get vtc5's anymore and the ones that are out there are prolly fake. If you have a smart phone get the free apps vapers toolbox and ohms law calculator. Ohms law is something you need to know if your wanting to get into cloud chasing because you dont want to push the amp limits of your batteries.

If you are using 24 gauge Nickel at 0.6 ohms that would be about 100 wraps with a 3mm coil. That doesn't sound right.

Your batteries should handle any reasonable build at 0.2 ohms or higher without any issue. It's hard to safely build below 0.2-0.3 ohms because very small changes in resistance can result in huge changes in current draw. For example, a 0.2 ohm build draws 21 amps, while a 0.1 ohm build drawns 42 amps.

Check out the link in my signature for more information.

You need a proper ohm meter. I don't think the meter you're using is made for this. Chances are, you're firing around .3ohms since you would need about 13 wraps per coil to get .6ohms.
I think you may be right. I put the dripper in my istick 30 and it read .2ohm. Think I need to get ohm meter pretty soon.

USA Ohm Meters makes the most accurate meter in the business for this sort of thing. It measures to 1000th's of an ohm. They're not cheap but you pay for quality and accuracy. I personally use an Eleaf ohm meter, which can be had for around $10-$15 and measures to 100th's of an ohm.
