Flattop? Not really sure...I use the button tops with no problem. All of mine came from Super T.

I *think* the flattop would work fine, but I also have a few ProVari's and I know the flat top won't work in a ProVari so I just bought the button top.

I really can't see why flat top would not work in GGTS. The flat surface should mate perfectly with the flat connector under the lid.

You are correct they work great in GGTS

Much less Manni. Just did a bunch of testing on this. Basically a AW IMR unloaded at 4.0volts on 1.5ohm coil shows down around 3.75 volts loaded. The CGR18650 at 4.0 Volts is like 3.93 loaded on the same coil.

So far great battery. Can't actually believe how much longer it lasts since it's technically only 250mah more. I would say I get 35% more life out of the CGR18650.

i'm at 1 and a half battery down from a solid 3 with the panasonics vs the 2k aw imr. (per day)

wow. i just changed an aw and still half the day left...

Panasonic Hybrid/IMR CGR18650CH 3.7v
2250mAh BUTTON TOP
$x.xx
that the ones?

Yep...

Like any battery make sure it's a reputable vendor. So many counterfeit batteries out there it's not even funny. Super T and Orbtronic have the real deal. I can't speak for anyone else.

Ohhhh uhhhhh I'll mention this about the panasonic button tops.

Do not remove the clear plastic on the button tops. That's part of the unit and encases the button top and entire battery. It's shrink wrapped in a clear plastic over the grey battery and it's not just packaging it's supposed to be there.

You can actually convert a button top to a flat top by removing the clear plastic and popping the button top off. The button top is soldered to the flat top and then shrink wrapped.

Friend of mine removed the clear thinking it was packaging and we just took the buttons off and they became flat tops.

They are the same price so it's not like you pay extra for the button and they will work on more devices.

What about these charger bags I see at different shops? Thanks

Chris

IMO complete garbage, many videos on the internet showing how they light on fire when someone purposefully detonates a battery in them.

Those bags were for the old style LiPo's that would literally go up in a ball of fire. IMR's and Hybrid IMR batteries like the panasonic's off gas and don't burst into flames.

In my opinion a good charger + good, safer chemistry batteries > battery bag.

The reason these types of batteries have gotten a bad reputation is because people will spend 200+ dollars on an APV and then buy the cheapest batteries they find on Amazon. A bad charger can over charge your batteries which these batteries don't like. A bad battery that can't handle the amp draw demanded by our coils can over discharge which is also a problem. Stacking two batteries that are not at the same voltage can also be a problem as a hard short can be created when one battery tries to in effect charge the other.

Good charger + good battery + no stacking and you don't have a lot to worry about. Get a good battery bag if you are extra paranoid but don't bother with the 3-4 dollar battery bags as they would just add to the problem.

I agree, in addition to that you even get more Watts per hour out of the Panasonics compared to the AWs, their Voltage drop under load is lesser compared to the AWs!

Hey all I woudls like to ad for anyone looking for the SAFE BAGS for charging the Batterys DiscountVapers.com has them on sale for 4.99 and super fast shipping and increadible customer Service From Eric the Owner... Most anywhere eles I looked they were sold out..I use a 14650 Batt with nipple top does anyone know of another battery that would also fit my Epower 14650???? for good Price.. I usually get 1 for 6.00 and I orderd some from China thru ebay 4/14.00 was a complete ripoff and ruined one of my devices so that cost me some more money plus working with the guy I got them from couldnt understand me, although did give me a refund and because of the way the batts worked I decided to get the Safe bag for charging them from now on.. plus all the info iv read online makes me feel better...

Some folks gave you good advice and now here's mine:

It’s not important if one battery make or model cost less than another. The most important thing to look at is the current discharge is good and the am page. This is very important just because it goes to a certain mAh like 2000 or over doesn't guarantee good quality and safety. Don’t sacrifice safety to get more time and certainly to get a brand that doesn’t stack to the performance you’re going to use it for. Keep in mind is kick being used there is a cut off on voltage3.3v are you stacking? Are you raising volts to 8.4 or higher? Is it a variable voltage device or is it a non-variable voltage device? Etc… This all matters when selecting the right battery to fit your needs.

As ezkill mentioned You have to have a good charger without question that doesn't over charge the batteries. I use the AW ImR 18650 2000 MAH The reason I took that over the 18650 1600Mah was do to last time but here is a chart on our site that shows load time vs the two. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-issues/263204-aw-18650-2000-vs-1600-mah.html I'm sacrificing a minor thing but its safe for what I’m using it for even at 8.4 and 25 volts.

In my opinion If you running GG voltage mod that doesn’t have Variable Voltage then AW IMR 18650 is one of the best best choices.

If you run a variable voltage like Provari etc then I would recommend Panasonic because Variable Voltage mods will go down to 3.0-3.3 Volts, this is where the mAh of Panasonic comes to play. As to where in GG as soon as I feel the vape weak its at 3.8-3.9 volts and I’m always changing battery at those levels because the vape to me not as powerful as it was.

Please keep in mind before buying a battery safety over cost. Very important not worth to save 2-5 dollars on a battery that may very well scar you for life. buy your batteries from a reputable vendor especially one you trust.

If considering AW IMR Batts I would ALWAYS take the 1600 over the 2000 Holds much higher voltage under load than the 2000. I change out my batts between 3.85 and 3.9. You can tell a difference. I still have AW IMRs, but find the MNKE IMRs hit even harder and voltage lasts longer under load. Try one that is not a fake and see for yourself. When I vape - I want power. I wish MNKE would make 18350, that would be awesome.

Load testing of Panasonic vs AW 1600

At first glance, you may be impressed by the much larger mAh of the Panasonic, but keep in mind, all that extra mAh comes after the battery is discharged below 3.5 Volts, up until that point, the AW IMR holds a higher voltage under load and achieves more mAh.
