Have been using joye ego c upgrade (650 and 1100mah) batteries since August. This week i got a new Smoktech trophy, have been successfully using the tumbler, 2ohm coils, since Oct. the trophy hits and misses. Noticed that my batteries do not stay charged very long anymore. I am a woman so i do not want something bigger than an ego, but guess it is time to start over with new batteries and charger. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what chargers and batteries work well with kanger protanks, and the smok trophy. I vape alot, it seems to be all i do, charge, clean, fill and vape.

Went back to Zee Cigs and purchased three 900mah for $7 something each, clearance. Will keep everyone posted. Thought about the innokin mvp, but I don't use a cell phone, i pad, or laptop. Don't want some big "gross" thing, and just need something basic, simple and small as possible. Old dogs are not readily adaptable. Thanks to E_DeCastro.

I would never say old dogs dont learn new tricks. my wife(not old) was very set in her way of using a 650mah ego and mini vivi nova tank. she liked the fact it fit right into her pocket. this went on for over a year no matter how many mods I had on my desk. One day I gave her a vamo in short mode(18350) wrapped in purple(her favorite color). she hasnt used the ego in about 5 months, and is upgrading her tank to a larger capacity when it arrives this week.

Its all just a matter of what your comfortable with and keeps you off of cigs.

You are going to have to make some consessions. Either get bigger batteries which will last you longer between charges, or continue with the smaller batteries with less time in order to meet your perceived need for something small.

Battery performance & duration is limited by the size of the battery. Smaller batteries = shorter performance. Larger batteries = longer performance. Pretty simple concept.

If cost is not an issue, I suggest a Mini Provari ($160). The replaceable rechargeable 18350 battery should last about 6 - 7 hours; you can carry a spare or two with you in a pocket or purse (in a plastic battery case for safety) to last you the entire day. Variable voltage; LED display; built-in ohm & voltage meter. 1 year warranty; lifetime customer support. A very dependable, reliable, durable, and repairable mod.

A less expensive option would be a SMOK Mini ZMax ($50 - 70). It uses the same replaceable rechargeable 18350 battery. It won't be as durably built as the Provari and won't have the lifetime support of one, either. Variable voltage & wattage; LED screen; built-in ohm & voltage meter. Warranty?

Innokin iTaste V3 runs around $40. Ego sized. VV/VW functions, LED display with ohm meter. 800 mAh built-in rechargeable battery via USB charger; passthru function allows using it while it charges. 8 -10 hours use between charges. Buying two will last your entire day.

Innokin iTaste MVP runs around $80 or less. VV/VW functions, LED display with ohm meter. 2600 mAh built-in rechargeable battery via USB charger will last 2 - 3 days per charge and can also be used while it charges. Still pocket or purse friendly, about the size of a slim pack of cigarettes.

I started with ego-c Twists (2 650 mah and 1 900 mah). I wanted to start building my own coils for my EVOD & Protank heads so I needed an ohm meter, an easier way to change the voltage (arthritic hands), and a pass through for when I'm just sitting in my chair. The iTaste VV3 (& MVP 2.0) does all the above. The VV3 is only slightly larger than your 650 mah ego batteries and it's square so it doesn't roll. It's 800 mah so it lasts a little longer & it can work as a pass through while charging with a regular micro USB cable. The MVP 2.0 also works that way but has a much larger battery. It's deceptively heavy for it's small size because of the larger battery. I am very happy with my VV3 and my brother-in-law loves his MVP 2.0.
