I have been hearing most 18650 batteries are likely to be fakes does anyone know any truth about this?

There are fakes / re wrapped lesser quality / erroneously labeled / counterfeit on the market for sure.
Most 18650 fake? , no.
If you buy name brand batteries from well known reputable vendors / dealers and select the appropriate batteries for your intended use you'll have no problems.

If you buy from reputable vendors like RTD Vapor you will get real branded batteries. Just stay away from Efest.

Thank you i had a feeling that would be the case i have 3 pairs of 18650 batts red lg 30amp,light blue samsung 25 amp and green sony 25 amp which i have a feeling are fake as soon as the battery life goes bellow 30% it say battery empty on ky mod lol
Variable v/w mods have a battery cutoff of approx 3.2 volts. So when the battery reaches 3.2v the mod will indicate the battery is empty.
The other 2 will go all the way to 0% before cutting of i honestly thought the Samsung ones were the best out of the 3 kinds...i use a sigelie 150 tc mod with either freemax starre or smok tfv4 rba usually..thanks for the info
Stay away from eBay for batteries.
Get them from RTD Vapor, or illumn, or a few other vendors people here can recommend - vendors who've proven that they check their own sources and won't sell a re-wrapped fake battery to shave a few bucks...

It would be tough to go wrong if you use these suppliers. If you buy a pair some provide cases. I use Illumn and they are priced very competitively. Check out the links in my signature line, it will help you find the battery that best suits your vaping style.

If you want a UK supplier, check out "Torchythebatteryboy". He has a presence on UKVapers. He has a very good reputation there for quality and service.

Hey..thank you again lol i thought i did change my account to uk lol cheers i will gi them a look i am need some more batts ones i have getting all torn up at the ends my sigelie box does rip the coating a little everytime they are removed

Thats great thank you my samsungs are definitely still ok very good batteries just seems to be a tight fit in the sigelei 150 tc i love that mod though i wish it had a usb charging port lol
torn wraps are dangerous, in case you don't know. They can cause a short and/or autofire. Rewrapping them is easy, especially if you have a heat gun. I do it all the time, to mark my batteries in married pairs. Samsung and LG batteries have a little paper donut at the positive end that must be salvaged and reinstalled. I don't know about the UK, but Fat Daddy and RTDVapor sell heat shrink wraps sized and cut to length to fit 18650s here in the States. Just cut the old wrap off with a pocket knife-- score it down the length and it will peel off-- put the battery in the new wrap, with even overhang on both ends, (install the paper donut if you have one), and heat it somehow.
I've heard about this before but I never bought the fake one. I think you should stay away from eBay for batteries, because some counterfeit models are being sold by unauthorized companies there. And maybe you can choose the reputable vendor like Nitecore to buy with. I'm now also using its charger and battery,it is good i think!
Buddy thanks for the info i think i will leave the samsungs aside just now then lol i have a muscle condition so fidgety thjngs can b out of my capabilities unfortunately..jusf have buy some new ones thank you for saying though i wasnt aware ot was so dangerous
