Battery Advice

I just bought my first true mod after using ego twists for a few months and I'm unsure exactly which battery to buy. I've been doing research and read Baditudes guide here but I'm still uncertain.

I decided to swing for the stands and bought a hana dna 40 (well, my wife did as a xmas present). With that said I'm looking for a 18650 that will fit my needs. I'm still newish so no crazy sub ohm vaping but I will be getting into rebuilding in the near future and just want to make sure I don't blow my face off or burn my house down.

Seems like the following two may be what I'm looking for, would either of these work? Which one would be better suited?

Xtar High Drain 18650 2100mAh 30a (Sony VTC4 cell) - RTD vapor - Xtar isnt on baditiudes recommended batteries but their chargers are. If these are rewraped sony's would this be my best bet?

Efest IMR 18650 2500mAh 35amp - RTD vapor

Samsung 25r 2500mah 20a CDR.

Only buy batteries from reputable vendors / dealers to avoid the many fakes of known quality cells the re wrapped lesser quality cells labeled with false ratings and the flat out marketing hype rated batteries.

Are the xtar legit sonys then? From everyone talking about sony vtc's i would think think the xtar's would be the way to go then?

I had my heart set on ordering from RTD because nothing would piss me off more than getting a knock off and RTD seems to be the fav for batteries. Obviously you have no problem ordering from them but in your unbiased opinion are they a good trustworthy vendor?

Altsmoke.com is were i bought all my prior batteries and 2 Silver Bullets and 12 PBC Tanks, And charger.. Altsmoke.com is a very reputable vendor. They do not sell knock offs/fake batteries, or any other fake crap. And they have awsome customer service.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! I googled them and saw that they post on here too and seem legit. Plus, you as an ecf veteran I 'm sure you know what you're talking about

As someone still learning about vaping I really did want to get some sonys since everyone talks about how good they are, and now I can!

Yes sir, I have checked all the reputable vendors for a few months looking for these VTC4's and they have all been out of stock. I went to buy some stuff at Altsmoke and saw they had the VTC4's in stock. I ordered them as fast as I could because they are a very popular battery for us vapers.

Why buy re-wrapped when you can get authentic Sony batteries? Not saying Xtar isn't a good battery, In fact I was very close to buying a bunch until I saw Altsmoke having the VTC4's In Stock.

Thank you for chiming in on them though. If I ever need more batteries and can't find Sonys I will def be keeping the Xtar's in mind.

Thanks again btw for your advice in my other thread! I was looking at a dna 40 at first but then thought I would save some bucks on a dna 20 or 30 but you were right about looking into it more and I really wanted to future proof myself. Not a big fan of the Flask look so I went with the Hana. Didn't get my first choice in color (Dark Gunmetal) but got my second choice so needless to say I'm super pumped to step my vape game up!
