My APV is the smok SID, which has a 4 amp output limit.

I've been using Panasonic NCR18650B's, which list a max continuous discharge current of 4.87 amps.

I recently scored a sigelei ZMax, which lists a 5 amp output limit.

So, I need different batteries for it, I suppose.

I've been referred to battery charts and comparisons a few times. My brain shuts down if I look at them too long.

I grabbed an Efest IMR 18350 800mah, listed with a max continuous discharge rate of 5.95 amps. I wanted to try the mod in shorty mode, but I really got spoiled by the 3400mah capacity of those Panasonics.

SO, what 18650 battery with a high mah capacity would you recommend for the ZMax?

Thanks.

Where did that value come from? In a quick Google search, all I can find is a MCCD of 6.8A for the Panny NCR18650B (here's one, and another)... nothing about 4.87A.

You're right.

I had read the recent battery thread (Best place for high drain 18650's)and was window shopping on Illumn based on the thread recommendations.

On Illumn, it shows the 4.87 amps limit HERE but everywhere else on the web, it shows what you're stating.

A good illustration for the need to double check all critical information!!

Thanks for help.
