Well i though i had my reo back to working order but i guess not. I washed it out and applied a bit of noalox to the firing pin and it was working great for a few days. Now its back to working not so great and im seeing a lot of arching between the firing pin and the battery. Like i said I applied a bit of noalox to the firing pin and washed the whole thing. What else could I do to make this thing work better. I love my reo but this is becoming very frustrating.

Also you could try taking your spring out and remove the painted portion below. Just some ideas.

And, as long as you have the spring retainer screw out, put some noalox/deoxit on the threads before you reinstall the spring.

With a one ohm coil and if your using noalox or deoxit you shouldn't be having problems . Its possible there is a loose spring or the positive contact is not tight enough or a problem with your atomizer .

I wouldn't wast my time using anything but a button top aw imr battery in a reo yeah flat tops work but when ever I hear about people having problems there using flat tops . The recommended battery is a aw imr 1600 button top the mods switch is built around the battery

Your welcome to send the mod in if there is a problem I will find it

Please put
a note with your email address and a brief description of the problem . Also
empty any e juice in the mod and remove the bottle . It helps to put a tissue or napkin around the tube . Please clean the mod if its a mechanical mod flush the mod with hot water and soap .

didnt see this post. Thanks Rob but I would rather not send the mod back in. I should be getting my repair kit in today. I will also look around my local shops for some aw batteries if not ill see about ordering one online. I will also take it apart again to check for loose connections, cracked firing pin or oxidation. Is the feed tube really glued on? or is it just really snug?

It's really snug. You just pull it off. Wet it a bit to reinsert it to bro. One thing I can add is I know it must suck ballz to have any issues with a new mod (I can all but guarantee the AW battery will correct that) but the REO experience is definitely worth any initial (and future) hassles you may encounter. Once you get that bad boy dialed its game over.

My speculation is also that those batteries your running have a higher internal resistance than the AW 1600 or 2200 leading to increased arcing :)

superX that resistance thing is the only thing about the batteries that has made any sense to me. Yeah ill see about getting some aw batteries. The only reason i haven't already is because the 4 efest batteries are brand new and i didn't want to waste them. maybe ill just get a flashlight for them lol. Im going to wait for my repair kit to get hear before I take this reo apart again, it should be here later today. I just keep thinking about how good this thing has been working up untill now. That is what is keeping me sane right now.
