Battery charger blink question

This is an auto battery I have had for a while that stopped working kind of. The last time it worked was when it decided to turn on by itself and stay on for no reason. Today I tried cleaning it with some alcohol, and when I put it in the charger the battery light blinks 3 times, pauses, blinks another 3, then does nothing. Any suggestions?

I don't really know if there's a right way to clean it, I just let it soak a bit on the battery end, and cleaned with a napkin.

My suggestion is to shy away from the auto. Even tho I like them, they are very fickle. I bought 2 autos and within 3 days and both are dead. Cant get more than 15 puffs on them then they blink dead.

Stick with manuals! Also contact customer service!
