New batteries blink codes?

Greetings,

I was charging me pretty purple battery today in the PCC while the PCC was charging on the laptop. The bottom light is still solid red but the light on the bottom of the battery started blinking 3 times. At first it was every few minutes but as I was typing this it has happened 7 times.

Not sure if this happens in the normal USB or wall chargers or not.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Also, is there a post that lists the various battery codes that I could refer to in the future.

Bump and update. The battery vapes just fine but the PCC light never went out and it just kept on blinking until I was going to bed. (removed it from PCC then as I did not want any problems while sleeping)

It would be very nice to know what the blink codes mean please. If not official answer could one of our super smart electrical folks chime in please?

did You try any other charger? or just the pcc? I find that using my usb charger that the connection is very fidgety and sometimes makes and breaks causing the light to continuosly blink.

i dunno, tenny. if it's not fidgety connection, i'd reckon it's harmless but i'd love to know, too.

It might be a glitch in your battery's IC chip. I just pulled out my PCC and tested a handful of the new batch of batteries, and none of them are doing that.

Hmm... my pcc seems to be doing the same thing. Solid red light when I but the battery in, and then after some time it flashes red. The battery seems to be charged (using it now). I thought I read that the light was supposed to turn green when the battery was all topped up.

We got two pcc's in our order and they both seem to be doing this. Is this normal or a problem?

It has two lights the one that turns green means the case is charged and the one that blinks red means the batterys done charging

ahh... For some reason I thought that light should turn green as well. Thanks for that.

My pcc wont hold a charge anymore. Ill have to tell them about it on my next order.

yup, tenny was talking about the LED on the batt itselfs.

Was able to duplicate it with a new shortie as well. Trying out one of my old generic 808Ds now.

When I place a PCC blinking battery on the direct USB charger (no cord, just plugs in like USB stick) it shows green immediately.

Old generic 808s do not blink and the second light goes turns to the ocassional blink when battery is charged. Gonna try one of the older V4L bats now.

O! OMG! Okay this happens to me too. My old batteries charge fine in it. My new automatic, it doesn't do that red light blinkie blinkie thing, but the led flashes occasionally. I pretend that this is batt code for I'm done but it IS weird.

Ahh good, I am not alone Was worried that my PCC was on the blink and I am gonna need it this weekend.
