My first batteries were KR808D1 listed as 4.2 V at 250 MA/H When put on the charger, the LED
ends blink twice, the charger light trurns red and in a few hours it turns green and they are fully charged.

I decided to get a couple of extra batteries. I got some Volts that show to be 3.6 V but are 808's and also fit my cartos.
When I got them yesterday, I decided to charge them as I assume most new batteries come about half charged.
They fit onto my charger but the light turned orange and the LED end glowed orange and stayed that
way all night. It never turned green? I tried them out and they seem to work just fine, but I don't know
if they are charged or what. Any suggestion? Thanks

Use KR charger with KR batts and volt charger with volt batts...you are asking for trouble!

I agree. Use the charger designed for the batteries you have unless you find evidence here on ECF that they are the same. Your results indicate that they aren't. You don't want a Lithium Ion battery blowing up. The contents are hazardous and non-vented batteries don't need to be overheated. They can turn into firecrackers and blow up, not to mention the fire hazard involved.
