I guess I should say, both my wife and I have DSE801's and my charger takes longer than hers does to show the green lite, and sometimes, a battery still showing red (charging) on mine will show green on hers. I keep killing batteries. They work for a week or so, then they're good for a puff or two after charging then 'blinky blinky', no charge. I was just wondering if somehow I got a bad charger, and that's killing my batteries, or if this was the norm. Thanks to all.

I'm sure some of our battery experts, yes there are experts here, will respond to this post. I would think that Murphy's Law would apply to both batteries and chargers, I'm sure they can malfunction. It sounds to me, and I'm NOT one of those experts, like the charger might be overcharging your battery. About the only thing I know is that the charger is supposed to stop charging when it reaches a set voltage. We will wait for one of our more knowledgeable members to respond.

Simply, Yes.

I'm no expert with these chargers but I have been using chargers almost every day for around thirty years, Some of which cost in excess of $1000. Even those screw up. Figure these only cost a few bucks to make so yeah.

well since this is a charger thread i also have a queation.. not trying to jack your post... when i charge my batteries... the light will go from red to green then back to red... the more it cycles from red to green the longer the green light stays on... usually when the green is on for 7 seconds i take off my battery... are my batteries getting fully charged?? or should i just leave them on till the green stays on indefinitely?
