Hey fellow Precise Plus owners,

What charger are you using for your batteries? It looks like we're in a bind as my charger just died. So I figured I would ask what everyone else is using before buying 2-3 chargers (so we have back ups).

Note the following from another thread.

Thanks!

Well it looks like the Trustfire WF 188 charger that I got from HVs has died in less than a month and now I'm a state of emergency to find a charger for my PV batteries.

Does anyone know where in Edmonton you can get a charger for AW 10440, AW IMR 18350, AW IMR 18650 and AW IMR ACR 123s? Or if anyone in AB or BC offers chargers that can be shipped in a day?

By the way I read that the Pila's are good but expensive and can't charge 10440 or the ACR 123s. If anyone has suggestions on what they use let me know.

Thanks in advance for the feedback and your responses are greatly appreciated.

If you want it to charge all batteries, including the Lifepo4 3.0/3.2 volt batteries, the WF 188 is the only one that will do them all. If you just want an inexpensive charger the TR001 has proven reliable (it won't charge lifepo4's though). Otherwise, the PILA is one of the best money can buy.

Thanks forcedfuel50.

I was considering getting two XTAR's over the Pila and two TR001s. I think I'm still in a jam as I won't have anything to charge the Lifep04 3.0/3.2 that I have... I guess I'll have to get another WF 188 although I'm a bit reluctant due to my last one biting the dust.

So a question regarding the XTAR as it is identified that it can charge the 10440 but is it safe considering the charge is at 600 mah? With the WF 188 you can reduce it to 300 mah for safety as the 10440s have 350 mah capacity.

So it looks like I'm getting 5 chargers. Two XTAR (considering as main charger with one as a backup), two TR001 (inexpensive and can be used for vacations or at the office) and a WF188 (for the Lifep04 3.0/3.2).

My last question isn't directed to forcedfuel50 but to the forum, what would you order and if different, why?

Thanks again!

blindsight, I hope you don't mind me jumping into your thread... I have a question regarding the subject of chargers and hoping for an answer.

Currently I have two TR-001 and two WF-138 chargers... I would like to upgrade my TR-001s to something newer and with more charging channels for charging AW IMR 18490 and AW IMR 18340 batteries. The two chargers that appeal to me the most are TR003 and XTAR WP6 II. I would like some help with deciding which ones to get and why... Are there any pros and cons to either one? Thanks.

I have the XTAR and like it a lot. You can charge up to six 3.6/3.7 volt batteries at a time. If you need to charge like 6 10440's at once, you'll need 12 additional spacers (on top of the 6 that come with the charger). It seems to work fine and it comes with a car charger, so you can use it on the go. It won't do 3.0, 3.2 or 4.8 volt batteries. If you are looking for actual technical specs look here: Review of Charger Xtar WP6 II

Hey Vaporologist,

I don't mind at all. Once my charger died I found that I had to do a bunch of reading in flashlight forums for more information. The one comment I have is that, I for one was always focused on the PVs, the atty/carto and juices. Not to say they aren't important but if you don't have any batteries or a charger you can't use your PV. Having more discussion on this is a great way to ensure that the entire experience is a great one.

Fortunately for most folks that have stumbled upon Super T Manufacturing it has been a god send as superfuel50 has the batteries and chargers listed with all of his awesome and sexy (as per the VapingMonkey) PV's and with the current Precise Plus's.

Not enough vendors put focus on the chargers that are required to power PV's/mods. There were a few here in Canada that have say one charger on their sites and that's it. SuperTManufacturing has them all on the site and mind you at very competitive prices.

I have also read about using model chargers that allow you to charge batteries. Perhaps a "Model Charging Mod sub forum should be created?

Anyway, just adding my 2 cents. I also take some responsibility (doh moment) in only picking up one charger but i guess thats how you learn is by your mistakes.

Finally, I also wanted to recognize an awesome member of ecf "Firechief2" who was so kind to lend me his spare while I look to buy one. There is one thing that I noticed about the ecf forum is that everyone is very helpful and willing to help out others so that people don't end up following off the wagon.

With life being so busy you often don't get to experience "those random acts of kindness" as much anymore. Anyway, the season of Christmas is upon us and I would like to wish you all a safe, Happy Merry Christmas! Thanks again Firechief2!
