I searched the forums (and Google) and couldn't find this information so I thought I would start a thread that hopefully others will contribute to based on their experiences. My apologies if this has already been covered. I'm still a newbie and may have missed something.

I ordered my Provari along with the Tenergy TN270 charger and the IMR 18650 2000mAh batteries all from ProVape. While I was pleasantly surprised that it only took an hour to top off both batteries I ordered, I had no clue how long it might take to charge them once they depleted to the point the button started blinking. After about 21.5 hours of MY normal usage the first battery finally reached that. I've read somewhere on ECF that you can take the battery out and shake it for extra usage, but I had the second with me and decided not to take the chance of being without my Provari at lunch. I'm pretty sure it was 3.3 volts but admittedly did not check that as I was in a hurry to change batteries and head to lunch.

So here is what I observed:
CartoSmokTek SC 3ohm
TankSmokTek 6ml DCT
Voltage4.5 - 4.7
Drags Per Hour60 average
Time Length of Drag10 - 12 seconds
BatteryIMR 18650 3.7V 2000mAh
ChargerTenergy TN270
Time to Charge3 hours 20 minutes

Edit for second battery stats:
CartoSmokTek SC 3ohm
TankSmokTek 6ml DCT
VoltageStrictly 4.7
Drags Per Hour60 average
Time Length of Drag10 - 12 seconds
BatteryIMR 18650 3.7V 2000mAh
ChargerTenergy TN270
Time to Charge2 hours 20 minutes

Odd to me that the second battery charged a full hour faster than the first.

YMMV but I hope this helps someone.

Theres a lot of variables there . You just happen to be using everything that will get you the least amount of battery life and charger with the longest charge time.

Things that will help extend run times and charge from discharge faster

1 DC cartos are known for bad battery life . A better option for battery life would be a single coil carto. Since your using a DC carto tank the single coil to use would be the ressurector carto or Boge XL size.
2 THe AW IMR 2000mah will get less battery life actually then a AW IMR 1600mah . SOunds backwards but its not
3.Swapping a tenergy charger with a PILA IBC charger will cut the charge time by more then half and terminate fully at 4.20v

I takes a little over an hour to charge 18650's on my Pila charger.Best investment i ever made. Its noticibly better in all catagories then any other charger there is except specialized hobby chargers.I bought my first PIla about 6 years ago and its still going like new.Every other charger iv had i used a few times and then through it in a drawer never to be used again.

Thanks for that info. When I'm ready to spend again and get my second Provari, I'll certainly reference back to your post.

Please note, that the whole Provari experience so far has been a VERY pleasant surprise. I didn't mean my post to sound like I was complaining about any of the information it included. I went from ego knock offs that took usually 9 hours to charge and only lasted about 8-10 hours on a charge. What I've experienced with the setup on my Provari has been an upgrade in every sense of the word without a doubt! I simply thought I'd post what a new owner might experience with a similar setup and hope others will chime in with their setup and times involved. I couldn't find that kind of information no matter how much I dug around for it.

I'll happily add anyone else's details to the original post to make it easier to find in the future for those looking for the same info I was. I'll also update when my second battery needs to be charged if it ends up being any different.

As far as your suggestions for improved battery life:

1. I AM actually using single coil SmokTek cartos (3 ohms) in my DCT tanks. Another kind ECF member suggested that to me while I was waiting for my beautiful new piece of machinery to arrive so I ordered a box of them. I've since ordered a few more boxes of them as I'm very happy with them. I've seen a lot on ECF about the Boge cartos and they will be my next order for replacements.

2. That DOES sound backwards! I had no idea. I'll keep that in mind when I get the next one.

3. The PILA charger was something I debated with the voices in my head for quite a while simply with extra safety in mind. I decided that I could keep an eye on the Tenergy while at my desk so decided to go with that. That's the only that's come remotely close to causing a little buyer's remorse and I'll probably be upgrading in the near future.

Thanks VERY MUCH for your feedback! It is greatly appreciated and most helpful for my next purchase.
