Hey all just curious im using the kanger top-box mini, I was finding my battery was not lasting me through my work day, i also work out side and really have no way of using a USB to charge while at work. So i went to a vape shop last night to buy a few more batteries and a carrying case,But that shop wanted $80 Canadian for a 8 bay charger. thats nuts.

I found someone online but am hoping to have one by Sunday when i go back to work,So just curious would stores like Walmart? Best-buy Canadian tire or anything like that sell a charger for a 18650 2500mah 3.7v battery? Ive tried looking on there site but didn't find nothing.

As it seems when i goto bed i plug the mod into USB wall charger and in the morning it says its full but i take like 4 hits off it,and it drops to about 3 quarters full, So it must not be getting a full charge.

There are 4 and 6 bay box chargers available by Xtar and Nitecore. RTD Vapor is a trustworthy site to buy from.

I can't offer much for where to get a charger, but noticed you mentioned an 8 bay model. I rotate 8 18650 batts through 3 mods and have a 4 bay Nitecore, but rarely charge more then a couple at a time. You might just go with a 2 or 4 bay and, should you find that insufficient, pick up a second, also giving you a backup should one go bad. Just a thought.

I agree with @OlderNDirt , pick up a 2 bay charger at a local vape shop to get you by, then order a larger 4 bay or 8 bay if thats what you want. I use a 2 bay and a 4 bay and rarely ever have all the slots filled. A 4 bay would work nice if you decide to get a 3 battery mod like the Wismec Reuleaux rx200.

A simple 2 bay charger will let you start the day with 3 batteries fully charged, one by the mod and 2 in the charger. Be certain to carry extra batteries in a plastic battery case ($1) or silicone sleeve so they don't complete a circuit in your pocket.

+1. Grab a two bay cheapo at the vape shop to hold you over, then order a good, 4-bay Nitecore or Xtar online from somewhere in Canada. Both are international brands, they should be available. IMO, you can buy chargers safely on eBay, if you stick with a top rated seller, and get authentic as they come in a box with an authentication sticker on them. Another good place to look, or order through, is a flashlight or battery specialty store. You want to be careful about batteries, but good charges are not subject to the counterfeit business as much as the batteries are. FWIW, I have both an I4 and a D4 by Nitecore, and a VC4 by Xtar. I can recommend any of them. I like the Nitecores a tad better.

Amazon xtar 4 bay charger is $36 free shipping. Go, buy that one.

I promise you, you want an xtar. Been the best investment I've ever made.

4 bays is totally enough. Really, two bays and 4-6 batteries is all you'll realistically ever need.

Four is fantastic, esp if you run more than one mod, or you have multiple vapers in your household.

If you need more than four bays, you buy another vp4 charger. You buy it because it takes care of your batteries for you. And your batteries are important for performance AND SAFTEY.

#1 most recommend product. Xtar vp series [emoji1303]

Stores like Walmart, Best-buy and Canadian tire do not sell li-ion battery chargers for our batts. For these batteries I've always bought chargers from either ecig, battery or flashlight shops.

I don't know where in Canada you are, I'm in the GTA and am pretty familiar with what's close to me and somewhat with other Canadian suppliers. I have had good experiences over the years buying locally from Canvape, Dashvapes and Happy Vaper, all of which I can pick up from if I want to save the shipping charge.

Canvape has a 4 bay Intellicharger for $24. I use Xtar chargers, but these are good too. If four bays isn't enough for you, buy two of them you're out $48 plus tax and shipping. The advantage in this scenario is if one of the chargers breaks the other one will still work.

Dashvapes has a 6 bay Efest LUC for $55. They are generally great chargers though I have not researched that model.

Canvape only has a retail presence on the weekends in a few flea markets, Dashvapes has stores. Both as far as I know will ship fast at a reasonable cost. I checked a couple of US suppliers I use and couldn't find anything that beats these prices considering the exchange rate, plus shipping times from the US will be around a week at best.

What do you guys think of this, Tenergy Fast Battery charger for rechargeable Li-ion batteries - Bushcraft Canada This charger i can buy from a battery specialty shop here for $15 will it work?

Li-ion batteries are fickle beasts. I don't know that charger but if I bought a Tenergy charger at that price I would be quite careful with it. I would expect it to work, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it would overcharge batteries and if it would not be able to handle difficult charging situations. I would not continue to use that charger as my main charger for long.

It's not a good practice to leave a charger on overnight. If the charger doesn't stop charging when the charge is complete the battery will start to heat up and if it gets hot enough it can start a fire. IMO inexpensive chargers are more prone to do this than reasonably priced ones. Expensive chargers are more about bells and whistles, but they are also generally quite good at the basics and quite safe.
