Battery Confusion by a Newbie

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding batteries for my K-Simar 20 mod. I use an Aspire Atlantis if this has any effect on the battery choice. Currently I have two LG HE2 batteries (LGDBHE21865) which have a discharge of 20A. voltage 3.7v and are 2500mAH. I ordered two batteries and before I use them I wanted to make sure they were compatible with my mod and safe. The new batteries are IMREN 3200mAH they are also 3.7v Li-MN however the discharge is 10A? Should I use these?

Hey mate, welcome! Two things:

1. You're wise to have done your research and then look for confirmation of what you think you know, that'll serve you well with ecigs. You even knew they weren't 35A. You've made my cockles all warmed and stuff.

2. The Atlantis (unless you rebuild) will be 0.5ohm, which is well within your safety limits (8.4A @ 35W, 9 @ 40W) but if you are planning on going higher you'll want the 20A batteries.

If you're curious about this, this can help by plugging in your Ohms:

Hello and welcome, first thing is a fully charged battery is at 4.2v. In general a 0.5 at 20 watts is 7 amps. Per a site I read this.
SUBTANK & ATLANTIS
This mod will work with Kanger SubTank, and Aspire Atlantis but can not go any lower than 0.5 ohm. If you do this be sure to use at least a 20 Amp IMR battery such as Samsung 2500mah (25R's), Efest 20 - 35A, or Sony VTC4's.

I would stick to the he2 batteries, but the new imren should work.
