My post in your last thread.

With a 18350 you will be limited with regards to Amps & mah

Here are several batteries you can look for:

1. AW IMR 18350 800mah 12A (new)
2. Purple Efest IMR 18350 700mAh 10.5A
3. Efest IMR 18350 800mah 6.4A
4. AW IMR 18350 700mah 6A

Make sure you take into account that you will need to allow for some headroom. I typically allow at least 30%.

An 18350 puts out the same 4.2v that a 26650 does, it just doesn't do so for as long, because it's not as large and can't carry as much "oomph." The numbers you should be looking at are the CDR (continuous discharge rating) in amps, which determines how low you can safely build your resistance coils (higher amp rating allows lower ohms) and the mAh capacity in miliamp hours, which determines how long the battery will last per charge.

Assuming you build for 5A, that's 21W on a fresh battery, and it's a coil with a resistance of 0.84 ohms. By the time the battery is ready to be recharged you'll be down to 16W.

That's more power than I use, and much more than 95% of vapers use, but it isn't serious cloud-chasing territory.

At 8A (for a 10A battery) you'll be getting 33W and using a 0.525 ohm coil. That is significantly high, albeit not as high as some people take it. I'd suggest you don't want to consider going under half an ohm anyway before you've got a firm understanding of Ohm's Law.

When I started (with regulated mods) I assumed I'd be using 18350s, but they have too small capacities. I used 18490s for several months but there are not many around -- AW are about the only source -- so I've moved on to 18650s now. The mod is longer but not unreasonably so.

If we do an even rougher approximation, an average vaper takes 300 puffs a day, that's 5 minutes of use per second of their average puff time. My puffs are about 5 seconds long, although cloud chasers may go as short as 2 seconds. So that's around 10 to 25 minutes per day. With a build that draws 5A, that's 10x5/60 = 833mAh per day with 300 2-second puffs, to 25x5/60 = 2000mAh per day with 300 5-second puffs.

In short, the amp varies from battery to battery, honestly, if you're having to ask this question about batteries and mech's, you may want to do a little more research into battery safety and ohm's law, especially if you plan on building your own coils, which I assume you are heading in that direction. You will also need an ohms meter at some point. There are plenty of threads here you can read and you've been given some good info here, but if you were like me and a lot of us, it may not mean much at this point, but then again you may be smarter than I! ;)

You can also check out some good videos, there's an older gentleman who does and excellent, to the point video on starting out with mech's and battery and basic safety and you can check out Pbsardo's website, which I found the best place to get the easiest to read/understand, concise and all in one place info on everything from battery safety, charts on testing and specs, mech and juice reviews.....

Welcome to the wild world of vaping, once it get's in your blood, hold on, you're on for a ride! Hopefully you can save you some money and time by being smart and research, research, research, and one last bit of advice, try and wait until any particular vape item hits the vapers en masse and not just the "celebrity reviewers" like RIP Trippers, although he's excellent for building coils, to get a better since of what your average vaper thinks about something. This too has helped me. I've found Convict Vapes, while abrupt and a "rough around the edges" style, I've found their juice reviews to be spot on, and it was through them I discovered some of the best juices out there! Good luck!

Hi and welcome to ECF!

For info on batteries Baditude has several excellent blog posts on the subject. His blogs on battery safety are a must read before you venture into the world of sub-ohm vaping.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...ected-icr.html

Reliable sources for batteries:
Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-Only The Best
Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor
Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More!

Do not buy batteries from eBay or Amazon. Some of their third party sellers sell fakes.

... and finally, here's a link that explains things in pretty simple terms: Vaping Battery Safety & Ohms Law Illustarted and explained in very simple terms
