Can is a very open to interpretation kind of word. I suppose with the exact wrong circumstances they could, but it's very unlikely and in fact has built in safety features to prevent anything bad happening.
A fire during charging is also possible, which is why it's recommended not to charge unattended. But again, not really anymore likely than your cellphone or laptop catching on fire.

My iPhone can explode in my face. Any Li ion battery can fail. The likelihood of the battery blowing up in your face? Probably less then being stuck by lightning (unless you're really unlucky).

Tanks can't explode. Well, I guess they can shatter in a seeming explosion if the one in a zillion chance the battery goes. However, you will not blow up the tank because of the voltage you apply from that battery.

While charging? Same as above.

These things do have basic protection mechanisms, and if you don't abuse them, they're unlikely to blow up on you.

Can kanger Evod batteries like explode in your face while you use them?
If damaged, overheated, bad manufacturing or improperly used/shorted purposely...

Can kanger pro 2 and 2 mini glass tanks explode from kanger evod batteries if they are on high voltage ?
I suppose it's possible if the battery vented causing the tank to shatter etc...

Can batteries explode while being charged?
Most batteries that explode that aren't user error happen when charging...

There are literally millions of evod's out there being used daily and over the years I've only heard of 2 venting both while charging...

Always make sure to monitor your batteries, not just vape batteries but any batteries while they are charging as that is a standard for charging any batteries including vape batteries, just a note and a random piece of information: There has been far more cellphone explosions than there has been vape explosions....

Most of the venting we've seen in the vape world was due to user error..

Can they? Sure. Anything is possible.

A physicist walks into a bar, goes up to the counter, and orders two drinks. He drinks one himself, and places the other one on the bar in front of the empty stool next to him. When the bartender asks him who it's for, he says "well the uncertainty principle says that it's possible, however unlikely, that all the atoms in the vicinity of that stool might spontaneously rearrange themselves into a beautiful woman, and if that happens, I'd like to be able to offer her this drink." The bartender says "well there are plenty of beautiful women in the bar already, why don't you just try offering it to one of them? You never know, she just might accept." To which the physicist responds "yeah, right, what are the chances of that happening?"

Will they? Not likely. Most of the battery incidents you hear about are caused by people short-circuiting a battery cell, either by carrying loose cells in their pocket, or by using a "pinless" or "hybrid-style" mechanical mod with an incompatible atomizer attachment. Something like your EVOD battery is more than just a cell, it also has the button, the housing, the connection, and the circuitry all built-in to one unit, and if it detects a short-circuit (or indeed, any resistance that's outside of the "safe" range will be considered a "short"), then it simply won't fire.

As for charging, just make sure you use the charger that came with it, and you should be in good shape. If you use it with a different kind of charger, then there's a chance that it could have reversed polarity (+ where the - should be, and vice versa) and that could also lead to a catastrophic failure. "Most" pen-style vapes, and their chargers, are standardized to use the same polarity these days, but it's always better to be safe than sorry, so just always use the one that came with it, and there shouldn't be any problem.

Lots of good information on battery safety in this forum:
More information in the following blogs:

Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries Part 1
  • For those who want to learn the differences between IMR, IMR/hybrid, ICR, and LiPo batteries. What do those numbers and letters on batteries mean? What's an amp rating and why is it more important than the mAh rating when choosing a battery for vaping?
Battery Basics for Mods: The Definative Battery Guide for Vaping
  • A popular and essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

The most potentially dangerous setup would be using a mechanical mod. This is because a mechanical or unregulated mod has no "protection circuitry", unlike an Ego or regulated mod has. Most of the e-cig explosions seen in the media have been with mechanical mods used by uninformed people who were not addressing safety issues or who were ignorant of unsafe practices.

A Beginner's Guide to Your First Mechanical Mod
  • Covers the differences between a mechanical vs. regulated mod, essential safety accessories, optional safety accessories to add layers of safety to your mech, routine maintanance, use of proper batteries, proper ventilation, low resistance vaping, and faux hybrid mods.

Thanks for the help, I am a very paranoid person. What can I do to "not abuse them" so they dont explode , eskie ?

Use the correct charger for the battery (typically included with it when you bought it, some type of USB thing). Don't try to use them after dropping them in water. Try not to freeze the battery by leaving it outside in the dead of winter (depends where you live if it ever does get cold), personally, I don't like leaving batteries in my car in the summer as it can get awfully hot in there and bake the battery (lots of folks do though without a problem, I'm just a little paranoid on that).

Just care for them as you would any other electronic device and you'll be fine.

Okay I bought my batteries over a year ago, but stopped vaping within a month because i could not find juices i enjoyed. I recently found some good juices and want to try vaping again. (no nicotine - I am a former smoker and just want to inhale something nice). The batteries i bought, I dont know if it is genuine or not, 2 of them have a blank bottom and one of them have a kanger design. I also noticed my charger is for ego joyetech and not kanger evod, should I stop using it ?

I am not at all that familiar with the Kanger Evod or Joytech Ego to answer those. I guess if you bought them at different times, some might have a logo and some not, as they can change stuff up. The Joytech Ego charger is likely fine, as all these Ego batteries tend to be quite similar, but as someone not using it, I can't flip it over and check the specs.

Are the tanks you have in good condition? And do you have coils for them? If you have coils still factory wrapped they're fine. If you have dried out, year old coils in the tanks I'd toss the coils and replace them with fresh ones.

Hope you get a setup and liquid you're happy with. And congrats on being an ex-smoker.

Yeah it was very hard to quit smoking, thanks Eskie ! I still crave for it sometimes.

I have extra coils and my tanks were barely used , kanger 2 mini x 2 and one kanger pro 2.

So there is a danger of kanger evod batteries causing the glass tanks to shatter?

And if anyone has any information on using the EGO joyetech charger with the evod batteries please let me know ! Thanks!

I'll second that, along with all the other posts in this thread, and I find it nice that you're asking these kind of questions. May your journey this time tara81 bring you many benefits!

@tara81 The only thing that will shatter that glass is mishandling. You don't need to worry about it. Can you screw the evod onto the ego charger? If so, it should work just fine.

Kanger equipment can be found on many sites in the US & Canada. I know others will chime in but I'll look around really quick.

FYI, you may want to delete that part about what your boyfriend smokes. This site doesn't permit such discussions. Glad to have you back!!:)

If I were you I would buy a kit. Meaning a tank that comes with a mod. You won't have anything to worry about. If your mod gets warm. Always let it cool down before you use it again. Just to be safe. Regulated mods come with battery protection. Mech mods and noisy crickets are what new vapers should not be using. Mech mods do not have protection. You will need to learn ohms law. and make sure your 510 will be safe or not. It's not rocket science but you will need some common sense and knowledge of what you are doing. You're in a good place for that info.
