Hello everyone

As the title suggests I am looking for a battery for the new sigelei Mini 30W. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should buy? I'm a complete newbie and want to make sure I get one that is safe. :blush: Also I am planning on using the sigelei with my Subtank Mini.
I don't much care about a "most bang for buck" option. I am looking for the most reliable, most long lasting battery on the market. I guess I will want to have a charger to make my set complete.
Any suggestions are most welcome. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum OloolO. Glad to have you here!:)

The Samsung 25R 2500mah or LG HE2 2500mah are both great 20A batteries. I use RTD Vapor to get all my batteries. They also carry chargers.

From Baditudes Blog (he's our resident battery/safety expert):

* Battery Chargers. Get the best charger that you can reasonably afford. Statistically most battery incidents occur while charging. Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore Intellicharger are the most recommended brands.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

If you take the specs. It will handle 0.3 at 30watts, then that's 10amps draw under load. I would say you can safely run a efest 3100 20amp battery if you want most battery life. All else the 25r by lg will work good too.

Thanks for all replies so far.
As far as I understand the Siegelei has a Mech Mode. Checking the battery I saw a review of a customer suggesting it may not be safe in Mech Mode. I watched the review by PBusardo and his complain was, that it does not correctly display if its in Mech or Regulated Mode. I am not educated enough working with Ohms Law. Shoud I be concerned using this battery in Mech Mode?

Stick with the Samsungs or LG HE2's. The Efest 3100 is actually 6.4A max.

1. Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

2. Purple Efest 3100mah 18650?

If you are not well versed in battery safety, Ohm's Law AND amp draw, you should NOT run in mech mode.

Thanks Susan~S

I will have to think about not getting the Siegelei. I may go with a MVP3.
It makes me wonder. Of course we are in the beginning times of vaping, but is it still responsible selling these kind of devices? It seems you need to have studied physics to be safe. There is going to be a even bigger influx of people looking to buy mods, who may not be as concerned as they should be. :confused:
