I'm in over my head!

My chuck arrived and found a thread to help me pick batteries. I ordered these batteries,
AWLIFEPO4 AW LiFePO4 3 Volt Lithium Rechargeable Battery

Now I can't find the thread to check if I ordered batteries that will work. Did I order the wrong thing?

Second, I ordered a charger, but it was the wrong charger. If these batteries will work in the Chuck, what charger do I need to order? Do I stack these batteries? If not, should I have ordered a spacer or something from Jeff?

Help! and thanks!

That cracked me up.

Um well, now that I've regained my composure...

I am checking that thread, as we speak, and I'm not finding what I need. Battery names and info is confusing to me. I may have to enlist the help of the husband, who laughed hysterically when I showed him the multimeter I ordered to support this new habit. He's better with batteries than me, but not with vaping, and I need someone who knows both.

I'll have to repost my question in the chuck forum. I know this question comes up all the time, but when I read the responses, I just don't get it.

********10 minutes later********

After finding the thread I needed I now realize I stack these two batteries for 6v. Now I just need to find the right charger. Will keep looking. Sorry to bother with the same old question.http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/81268-tenergy-rcr123a-3v-5.html

Coralie, If your using a Chuck at 6 volts I've found that it's really better to use the new "high volt "atomizers. You Can get them from Products I use a 901 atomizer and 6 volts is tough on a standard 901 plus some juices taste kinda burnt. You can always use an 18650 battery in a Chuck. It's a 3.7 volt batt and works good.

coralie, LR attys are not what you need. They provide even less resistance than normal attys and will burn up even quicker. You need the HIGH RESISTANCE 510 attys for 6 volts. Look here *New*High Voltage SLB 3.5? 510 Atomizer
I hope you see this before you order the LRs. However if you get the LR attys they work really good with that 3.7 volt Tenergy you're using :)

A ha. Thanks, for replying. Thankfully I haven't purchased a LR or HR atty, but now I know which one to try if I decide to go back to the 6v option with my chuck. So far, I've been kicking it with my chuck and sidesho, got down to two cigs per day during the week and 4 or so on sat and sun, but this last week has been brutal and I've been very bad about smoking more. Now that school's out and stress should be reduced, time to get back on track and cut down and then cut them out completely. I want to have a vapetastic summer!

True... I killed two atomizers the night I finally tried my chuck out because I don't have LR 510s. I am now using a single Tenergy battery, and it's working fine without blowing out any atties.
When you say you are using a single Tenergy battery, do you mean an 18650 (3.7V)? I don't see how a single RCR123A (3.0V) would make a connection. It would just rattle around in there.

As for LR vs. HV atomizers, you are clear that LR (or regular) atomizers should be used with 3.7V ... and HV atomizers with 6V+. [And regular atomizers with 5V.] Right?

you know, I've spent the last two hours trying to find out where to get a "Chuck" in the first place! Where / who....????? I keep hearing great things about this mythical "Chuck".... are they like Cuban Cigars, where you have to know a guy who knows a guy??? Somebody message me, pretty please with sugar on?

I'm going to put my reply here as you have probably already been messaged..but I am sure there will be someone else with the same question :)

THAG BUILT: A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing!

that is where you can purchase the chuck...

Thanks Basilray. The one I have looks like this and I think it might even be this one. I use it for the 18650s. I have a Trustfire one for the CR123s.

I did order the LR and HV atties to try. Haven't actually tried the HV one as I am afraid if I go 6v I may never go back and I want to continue to enjoy my Riva for a while.
