Hi guys. So I'm a noob and was wondering everything I need to know about batteries.
Questions:
1. What are some good batteries?
2. Ohms between 0.1-0.3 what battery and discharge should I use?
3. Ohms between 0.4-0.6 what battery and discharge should I use?
4. Ohms between 0.7-1 what battery and discharge should I use?
5 Ohms 1 and up what battery and discharge should I use?

is there anything else I should take into consideration when picking batteries and stuff I should know.

I don't do battery recommendations, other than to say - buy your batteries from a well known and respected vendor, and don't buy any battery with the word "fire" in the name. Seriously. ;-)

So... to answer questions 2~5.

The Ohm's law formula for determining MINIMUM current requirements is: V ÷ Ω = C... or voltage divided by resistance equals amps. Add at least 10% "headroom" (safety margin) to the amperage requirement.

Example: A 0.4Ω net resistance will require - with a 10% safety margin - (4.2v ÷ 0.4Ω = 10.5a) (10.5a + 1.05a = 11.55a). So, your "Maximum Continuous Current Discharge" (MCCD) requirement is 11.6 amps.

If math is hard... use an on-line Ohm's law calculator - where 4.2 volts is a constant value - then insert your resistance value and hit the "calculate" button. Add 10%, and again, you have your minimum amp requirement.

You might want to click on my second sigline hyperlink... to further your education.

Cheers
