Dear members,

I kindly ask you advices on what battery I should buy for my new Koopor Mini 2 box that needs a good, strong 18650 battery.

I currently smoke with an Aspire nautilus 2, between 23 and 28 watts with a 0.4 ohm coil and the max power rating for that box circuitry is 80 watts.

As my current intensity requirements are low you will probably advice me an high capacity battery since I don't need so much current to be draw but I want to stay safe and coolest possible. So I can even buy the battery with highest continuous discharge current intensity and lowest capacity because I really don't need an high autonomy and I want to feel the freshness when I pick my box in my hand.

So the question is: What is the best battery for continuous discharge current intensity and coolest, tested in that forum?

Thanks.

Thank you!
Make sure it’s a real one btw. All the top performing batteries get counterfeited, and a lot of vendors don’t want to know that the “great wholesale deal” they got actually wasn’t. Reputable sellers are key.

The amp rating determines the wattage output of the battery.

Tried PM’ing you but your box is full. :)
I don’t think we use any cells that have the chemistry (LMO, lithium-manganese-oxide) most often associated with the “IMR” model number prefix anymore. In my opinion, IMR is just an undefined marketing term now for “non-LiPo” that causes a lot of confusion because articles from a few years ago said it’s the “safest chemistry”.

I appreciate your correctness in terminology. Of course, I agree completely with you. Above was a slip of the tongue, or keyboard, so to speak. Old habits die hard.

Now to go clean out my PM box.

My mods show 3.5A +/- when I vape around 10 to 12 watts. I'm comfortably under the 15A to 20A ratings Mooch lists for Sony VCT6, Samsung 30Q, and LG HG2. I like the MAH ratings and run time and the cells in Baditude's list above give me an all day vape without any perceptible heat when I've taken them out to check after a long hard hit.

This is superfluous risk-aversion and a waste of time. You're pulling around 8 amps which even the crappiest dud of a mislabeled rewrap will easily handle. (oblig: buy genuine)

I think it's refreshing to see a new member that puts the emphasis on safety rather than yet another one of those dumbasses that tries to go over the limits at all costs screaming "MOAR POWAAAAA" in his frenzy.

CDR - Continuous Discharge Rate, the number of amps that a battery can safely deliver continuously
mAh – Milliampere-hour, used to describe the capacity of a battery

The relationship between these two values is like a see-saw, if you have more of one then you get less of the other with current 18650 battery chemistry.
So you can have a battery that can deliver a lot of amps for a short time, or inversely less amps for a longer time.

For up to 28 watts a 20 amp CDR cell like the Samsung 30Q would be a good fit as it has your amp requirement well within spec with a 3000 mAh capacity.

If you wanted to utilize the full 80 watts that your mod can output then you will need a battery with a higher CDR, as a 20 amp CDR battery is good for up to 60 watts. I would suggest the Samsung 20S which as a 30 amp CDR cell is good for up to 90 watts.

The resistance of the coil is not really a factor in regulated devices like the one you have.
