I 'm not interested in smoking anything but I'm interested in battery knowledge , I have some experience with Rc batteries and little with 18650 .

Finf out that you community is more informed on that type so here I am.

Well I'm looking for batteries with very good weight / watt ratio for electrical flight with multirotors
High discharge rates batteries are not needed for my application, so until now I have done some tests with Panasonic Ncr 18650B and Lg MJ1 18650.

I have a project for a 6S battery from 18650 cells placed in a carbon tube .
The problem is that the cells I might use are not produced with button top and even if they where I would prefer to solder the cells to have a more reliable connection.
But I have no idea how to do it in a clean way...

What wattage do you need to get from the batteries?

edyle , about 110 watts , usually the battery pack is made with 6S 2P to keep low C discharge rate. but I can use also 4S 3P configuration.

Consider that the power drain is constant along time, around 60 - 80 minutes, but there can be some burst of 220 watts for some seconds.
