Hey REOnauts!

I am not sure why I am just getting around to this, but anyways, I had some standard regular drain batteries that fit in very snuggly, I then purchased some high drains that aren't quite as long.

I recall reading I could put a spacer in there to make up the difference, but what exactly IS a spacer?

I don't want to stick something in there that's could possibly cause a problem, so I come to the forums before I head out into the world for 'stuff'. lol

Thanks guys!

The new high drain batteries aren't protected so they don't have that circuit, they are made differently and don't need it. I've seen them around but can't think of any off the top of my head, the spacer is usually a piece of copper or aluminum some are even magnets. Check out mad vapes they've got a ton of stuff including modding parts.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing, gotta send the poor guy out for some work in the next couple of days >.<

I am going to miss him while he is gone!

I've been using it with the longer push, just thought I would see if I could find an alternative because I am getting a little ansy and frankly, spending large amounts of money on new juices or w/e aren't going to happen, I thought buying a spacer would make me feel better lol.

The REO's are built around the recommended batteries. The spring should contact the bottom of the recommended battery and have enough pressure to engage when the button is pressed. You should not have to exert a lot of pressure to the button for it to fire the atty.
If you use a battery that is too long, it will eventually distort the spring. This will cause a recommended battery to not make contact.
With the collapsable spring being a "safety" against causing more damage to your REO in the case of a short, it is well worth the use of the recommended batteries.
